Two Moons

If the shoe fits it's not name calling......lol

Honestly,
there's more to life.......

I noticed birds will empty two feeders just as fast as one.
After cutting back I still have the same number of birds..lol

Only when I stop feeding do the birds go back to being birds and find their own food.

We have beautiful birds in my yard Moons,Tons of Blue Jays and Cardinals,They are beautiful !,,One of the Cardinals flies into my garage windows a least a few times a day..Poor guy !!..I am not actually a bird watcher type, but my 8 outdoor cats make a hobby of it !...;(

My favorite is a Red Breasted Wood Pecker who has been trying to drill a hole through the glass window of my feeder for so long now it's become his routine.
The Cardinal and his mate fight off other pairs trying to get at the feeder, sometime it's their own offspring from last summer, the Cardinal likes to look at his reflection in the glass.
The Nuthatch is the most entertaining bouncing around like a wind up toy, upside down always.
Blue jays are not as frequent and very shy, I think it's because they irritate everyone and fear for their lives most of the time.
They all watch the Tit Mouse because the Tit Mouse watches for hawks.
They come in gangs and eat most of the food.
I watched a falcon snatch one right out of mid air the other day, the gang chased it bitching until their friend was gone.
I have gotten the Tit Mouse to land on my window sill for a piece of toast a time or two.
I love birding, this time of year I can usually find eagles out on the river.
The cat who killed flying squirrels is not with us anymore....

Poor kitty,,,Cat,,,
Sounds like you enjoy your bird watching,,:)
If I didn't have the cats I would set feeders out, but I can't encourage the birds with the cats stalking, not in good conscience,,,lol, When I landscaped the yard I planted trees and shrubs that attract birds, so I still get quite a few around the yard,,,
Eagles?,,Must be a sight to see..

There are cat proof and squirrel proof feeders so you could have both birds and cats.
What I really like are the odd birds that normally I never see and the few rare ones.
Not that rare but we have Pileated Wood Peckers that come around, quite a sight.
I know when different birds come around so I know when to watch.
But i watch all animals that live here when I can, the birds are the easiest to watch because of the feeders.
I kept the dogs in the other morning and had deer in the yard, they seem to know it's safe to come close.
Animals will always amaze you if you take the time to watch.

The birds pay absolutely no attention to the dogs, i always thought that was interesting.

Ok, so there are not a lot of bird watchers here I guess.
What about people watchers, ever watch your fellow man in public places, it can sometimes be very enlightening.
Depends on where your at more than anything else.
