Don Corleone

by Don Corleone on 17 April 2007 - 18:04

Echo Are you telling me that a person like Ivan Balabonov Is a newbie because he hasn't been training dogs for 30 yrs. There are numerous people that don't have 20 yrs of training experience, that I would call experienced. It's funny, but some people can learn more than others in a short amount of time. I know people that have been in the sport over 30 yrs and they were the most clueless people I have ever met. I don't want to get into this family spat. I just figured I would give my two cents on that one.

by EchoMeadows on 17 April 2007 - 18:04

Don of course your right !! and kind of the point, or the moral of the story if you will is that we will all be newbies so long as we continue to learn. It's when we stop learning that we turn into JackA**'s. But still others consider anyone who is willing to learn an idiot for being willing. The difference here is Don that you get it and others here will never get it. Notice that Spook spouts off his mouth about everyone here at one time or another, and every time he is called on the carpet for it, He runs or avoids the calling. What was the name of this wonder dog of yours spook and under what judge did you ever earn a single title ? If you once again fail to answer the question as we all know you will, It only proves further that suspicians about you are correct. Your a ghost who likes the big wooden spoon to stir the pot.

Spook101 , I respectfully accept your apologies :) EchoMeadows, In a mature perceptive view.. Calling a full grown human female a “Girl” is kind of disrespect. It's like calling an adult a child. Thats the way I view it. I'm sure some people don't mind it, but I'd like to stay put in the womens category, if you don't mind? I strongly disagree with your views on “newbie” opinions. I don't need to explain it since Don Corleone already did.

Brittany, nice job on calling spooky out. I like the idea of posting videos. spooky seems to talk a good game but when push comes to shove i don' think he will be posting any of his videos. he is even appologizing.

by spook101 on 18 April 2007 - 14:04

workingdawg, sorry I don't film my dogs, except ocassionally in obedience. It is to correct handling errors not to memorialize my dog. I don't have the need to feed my ego. Additionally, I don't have the technology or computer saavy to send films, nor do I have the ambition to learn. Now go back to your corner and lick yourself.

It's not about memorializing the dogs. I like to go back and watch my pups videos from day one in sequence, to watch him develope. It's a tool just like your occasional OB vids. Why leave it to memory when you can have the solid truth staring you in the face? Also the breeder provided us wth video of my pup before we brought him home, we like to return the favor. He of course wants to know how his pups are developing. What better way, than for him to see for himself? It is hard to get video as I have to work the dog and shoot, so I get my daughter to film, or someone at the club while I work the dog. I have never had enough help, to get a stacked pic of my dog yet...

4pack, that wasn't an insult to people who film their dogs. I just don't have an interest. The breeders of both of my dogs see them often and one of them takes pictures; the other one has the same attitude as I do about pictures and films. The score book is my "solid truth staring you in the face". I spent an hour one night trying to send still shots from my daughter's camera. I was so frustrated I was ready to send the camera through the wall.

by workingdawg on 18 April 2007 - 15:04

easy pooky, i mean spooky. then post your score book.

That's why digital is so great! I have to take probably 15 pictures for every 1 good one I get, especially the action shots, but the bad ones can just be deleted, not wasted on film.

by workingdawg on 18 April 2007 - 15:04

digital is sweet. most of them can take video. not the greatest video but still pretty good.
