YR  I think what we are arguing is that an awful lot of those who

identify as Christians do not actually deserve any 'respect'.

They either:  scam money out of followers;  commit sexual peccadilloes

while trying to convince the world at large that they are in perfect

marriages (and everyone else should be too);  force their version of religious

knowledge down everybody's throats every time they turn on the Internet;

campaign for children to be indoctrinated against evolutionary facts;  or

try to disrespect the views of atheists by telling lies about them.

Why would we want to give any respect to those behaviours ?

Ah !  Good old Wiki :  Vanna Bonta, 1 novel, 3 books of poems ...

oh, and a zip-together space suit that works like a double sleeping-

bag, so's couples can have sex in zero gravity.

Clearly of vital importance.

Wiki didn't come up with the "Atheism is a Religion" thing;

but I did rather appreciate this other quote from her:

"Truth may sometimes hurt,  but delusion harms."

Not only is Athesism a religion...it is a fanatical religion...the miserable ones in general have nothing else going for them...

Amen....

by beetree on 22 April 2014 - 11:04

I didn't go to Wiki myself. Don't really care what those atheist religious fanatics do, just so long as they keep to one thread about it. Spare the rest of us happy go lucky sorts from all their miserableness spreading and begetting boringness.

by vk4gsd on 22 April 2014 - 11:04

@ML you seem to be desperate to believe in things that simply do not exist... what's up with that??

Desperate? I would be inclined to deduce that someone who spends 24/7 posting about something they don't even believe in is desperate.

Or mentally challenged, maybe both...anyway they are a total waste of my time...

Please tell us how Athesism has enhanced your life....

When a person or group demands/expects respect because they belong to a group, I seriously get a little vomit in my mouth.

You must feel ill quite a bit then, given your most liberal persuasions, lol.

The human race is a group. I think it'll be interesting to remember your position moving forward.
