26yr old twins w/criminal backgrounds make me think it was not so much to mom's benefit as much as theirs that they live at home. Having left at 19, I don't get that "failure to launch" thing to begin with, but I only made the comment because of the criminal history, not the mere fact that they were still at home. Do the math- 26yr old twins, living at home, criminal records, no utilities at the house, Pit Bull as only pet (only pet mentioned anyway)........not looking too good.

dog and the tree, I could see the amusing (not LOL) side; ...but
when I then continued to think about it, the following occurred
to me: 1 Was reminded of the problem of ruined trees, as
described in my previous post; 2 was reminded of all that
nonsense about 'locking bites' and (as Judge Judy Shiendlin
will keep defining it !) the "physiological difference of the APBT's
jaw" - ANY dog with enough strength, weight and determination
could pull a limb off a maybe frail woman, if it was enraged enough.
Like others I am tempted to think something else was wrong with
the dog, or went wrong in some interaction between the dog & the
woman. And 3: was reminded about the severity of the reported
attack, and felt a little guilty, therefore, for smiling at the dog in the
video. I see I was not alone in that. A post about the problem of
an enraged dog being capable of doing that much damage, and
maybe a reference or link to the video plus the warning about worse
being available, might have conveyed your msg better, Lineage, than
the header you used ?

You have created any and every reason to blame except for the pit bull's genetics.
I think you are reaching a bit far with this "criminal record" bit and "living at home". For all you know, the twins could have down syndrome and have to live with their mother. That statement I just made is about as farfetched as the rest of the comments you have made about these men.
I don't understand why you are trying so hard to force the idea that the humans are to blame. I am not saying this in a fighting manner- I would truly like to know. In our last thread you were very angry when I said that dogs are not worth a human life. I want to understand where you are coming from. Did you have some kind of traumatic event with another human? I really feel like you go out of your way to make humans look bad or be the blame in every thread on this forum and present the dogs as hopeless victims.
It is not a dog's "fault" that it inherited aggression. But that doesn't stop it from being aggressive.
When a german shepherd attacks someone, the first thing we usually blame is genetic aggression or BYB
When a pit bull attacks someone, anything and everything but genetic aggression is blamed to the point where it is ridiculous. I mean, going to the point to try to research this family to find anything you can point out that blames the owner and not the dog is just crazy in my eyes.
I hope that you are able to read this post and take it as it was written -- respectfully and curiously. And reply as like in turn.

cause of down syndrome ..."
WTF ?
What's the 'cause' of Down's Syndrome ???
Rocky's supposed 'ignorance' ? Puh-leeeze !
[It's genetic, btw].
Downs' was just suggested (by Rocky) as one possible reason 26-yr old twins
might still live at home with their mother; it hasn't been mentioned in any other
context on this thred. Probably someone with Downs Syndrome might be
more caring and responsible about a dog in their ownership, but never mind ...

Reread that thread, then go back and reread THIS thread, and get your statements and posters straight. LadyFrost might be the one you're addressing; based on your post,(???) because I really can't tell who you're meaning to address or why. I said NOTHING about the dog. I'm coming up with "any and every reason to blame"??? WTH are you talking about? There was a link to the criminal story about the twins at the bottom of an article! Again, reading and clear comprehension of the written word are imperative if you want to have an argument about it.

If you've simply put the wrong name at the top of your post and didn't really mean to address me, that would make a lot more sense and in that case, I apologize.
