I actually did see that. Another thing, was that two of my kids found a dead rabbit in the brush not too far from the house with no apparent trauma. Obviously I can't be certain, but I don't have poison out, and I don't know of any anywhere near here.

moons i will remain unconvinced re proofing dogs off baits and critters. i seen the training by an air force trainer, he wrote a manual and all for the defense dept, he not long after lost his personal stud dog that barked a lot to a bait planted by a neighbor. my dogs are trained not to chase trash, livestock, and toads pretty well but would i ever assume that a free-roaming dog when exposed to hundreds of these things over many years without supervision will not just once try it. no training is that good imo, could i train a dog to do a food refusal from a person or from the ground in a trial type situation yeah no problem. stock dogs here are worth the wages of 4 men doing the same job  as calculated by an ag economist, farmers will use the muzzle most times. most stock should never have to be bit by a dog if yr management is right.

Lol - I bet you have. I want to see a pick of the whole rig when you get it. My next shipment will probably be a Bark River Bravo 1 with a natural handle. Trying to decide if I want stainless or carbon. Carbon is definitely the superior performer, but stainless is easier.

I dunno about rabbits, not a usual suspect where rabies is concerned but I wouldn't take anything for granted.

VK4,
I could train your dog not to pick up a rat... no problem.
Like any other training it would need refreshing from time to time, but again no problem.

And if we get into training too much we'll get moved...lol

VK4,
treatment works if done soon, wait too long and it may not help, in humans.
Yeah, man if you get it you'll be like a Zombie looking for anything to bite....

tell me about the rabies then, have a fascination for diseases. you seen the tree man?

Carlin

It's treatable, and I vax my dogs knowing it's in the area, but I have a 4 year old I wouldn't want getting jumped.
