We were taught Islam in school "from a certain Islamic "let me call it GROUP" and grew up believing all we were taught.
On TV we listen to same group
Books we have in libraries are from same group.
I always had a feeling something was not right, but as a child and young man I would dismiss this hunch/feeling thinking it is Satan inside me who is telling me those weird thoughts.

One more issue which is "true believers are the Muslims only", the new Muslim scholars proved from Quran itself that believers include non-Muslims.
Those new scholars are called KAFERS by the typical Muslim Imams. New scholars have proved that many " words referred to as were said by prophet Mohd" are weak or totally wrong as they contradict what is said in Quran. New scholars proved that Politics and individual greed manipulated many of Islam basics. What is good is that truth prevails as Quran is the same as was taught to the prophet and courageous scholars will always be their to unveil the truth.

What we were taught as youngsters of what our religion is, in many cases was an absolute disaster to Islam itself, to ourselves, to our countries, to our nation and to humanity. We were subjected to listening to the same over and over till our brains were masked. I am talking in general, there were exceptional bright cases.
People grew up hating other religions, I had hard time teaching my daughter that a Christian is a believer similar to us and is not a Kafer and that it is ok to have a Christian friend, talk to, play with and visit even on religious occasions.
In Jordan there is a rule in Ministry of Education since quite few years to not teach hatred about Christianity and Christians. We have been living with Christians here in harmony since ages.
Some of the Islam teachers in school belong to Islamic Brotherhood and secretly preach hatred,my daughter had one of those teachers but I stopped her and she learnt her lesson the hard way. I don't want my daughter to learn the negatives that we did.
So many in our society grew up having wrong thoughts, teachings, the problem with some of those is they refuse to listen, they refuse to rethink and are afraid that me and my alike are trying to screw up their beliefs and cause them to loose faith.

In Egypt Brotherhood Muslims lies were unveiled after they assumed power. The problem is what those followers were taught about Islam to serve the goals of their leadership. Some followers believe that Egyptian non Brotherhood are non-believers and deserve to be killed, the simple minded followers think removing Mursi is an act against Islam and they should rise up to defend Islam. That is dangerous and a disaster in itself. Simple followers think that Jihad against other Egyptians who are against Mursi should be declared.
This is an example where wrong preaching of a religion can cause masacres in a single society. Wrong preaching of a religion is in my belief a criminal act against humanity. Some of my religion-fellows think I am insane

Carlin, I've read your posts, that is where I have learned where you stand.
You have no idea where I stand, because I haven't posted to that effect.
No need to talk with big words, they are the ones that fall on the ground unheard.
Evidently, your knowledge of scripture is limited such that you missed the reference.
It impresses no one.
Just as evident -the continued assumptions; God forbid someone articulate their language properly and effectively. The funny thing is, I'm actually someone who has to work at giving a second thought as to others' impression of what I write, say, or do.
So, I'll reiterate what I've previously said. You do what you think is right in God's eyes, and I will do the same.
I have to wonder if Pious and Gregory also thought they were doing what was right in God's eyes; or any given suicide bomber for that matter. You are obviously free to forward whatever opinions you have. I will feel free to shed light on the opinions I disagree with. Understand, that according to the same Bible you are not so hesitant to thump on, what you have to say in that realm should, will, and must be subject to other believers.

That is natural and understood

I suppose it was just laying in the dust and was bound to be found.
