Oh my gosh, This whole tantrum, because I have issues with sending a puppy to a far away place that I am not guaranteed it will be picked up at the airport hhh? WOW ! guess that explains it all. Gabby know the whole story behind the 750.00, My daughter made a mistake simple as that, Bad communication on hers and MY part as well, led to her turning her dog into the wrong area. It's an oops I am trying to find great pet homes for these pups that is all, I just want them to be loved and be family members, Wow I must be so bad !!

Okay first of all id like to say that ive always thought echo has has many good things to say on these boards. I think that A. Echo loves dogs and wants to see them go to a good home. B. What is the problem with not going to see a dog before you buy it? It avoids many problems with some people getting dogs shipped to them and then are unhappy with what they bought and causes MANY more headaches. No excuses you know exactly what your getting if you see the dog first. Obviously location has a factor but a kennel can refuse to sell to anyone. Its their choice. No reason to bash anyone. Just as well as the buyer has their choice to buy a dog theyve only seen pictures of with risks of being unhappy. Its all a matter of feeling comfortable and confident with what your buying.

This all started when I simply "Suggested" to Andrea that she may want to meet the breeder face to face, I stated that "our" practice was not to ship. I don't think that makes me a horrid person. I think most here agree that face to face breeder buyer repor is a good thing, Breeders should support they're buyers and should expec they're buyers to call them at 2 am and ask why is my puppy eating my shoe laces ? I expect it, I encourage it !! I even send emails to my buyers about once a month but usually am in contact with them more often than that even. A-Ron, I have never seen you post before, I appologize for that, but will say Thank You so much for that praise, I do try to offer honest opinions, and good advice, I certainly did not think that suggesting a face to face meeting with a breeder was so bad. Thank You Ron I do appreciate your kinds words.

Again, you need to read the whole thread. What it breaks down to is people were giving their opinions. Gabby disagreed with Echo so a cat fight insued. (It seems to happen anytime someone disagrees with Echo.) Gabby said something she later apologised for. After Gabby apologised, Mama Cass stirred it up again. Echo, had you graciously accepted the apology (instead of piling on) and told your troll that you could take care of yourself. It would have stopped.

Come on, let's move onto some productive talk. You have made your points. Live and let live.

by EchoMeadows on 04 January 2007 - 16:01

You know everyone seems to miss that I did accept the appology, and even went as far as to compliment Gabby on her goals and even went on to say I thought she would be an asset to the breed. Did everyone miss that ???? Look I have no problem with Gabby, I have an issue with her saying it's wrong for me not to ship my dogs. Yes she and I disagree on that. Yes others (no names) jumped in and said a bunch of stuff that pumped her up even more to keep it going seems that individual has been begging for some attention, and yet I have not addressed that person at all, nor am I now !!!!!!! Personally I think her telling Andrea, that me not shipping dogs makes me a horrific breeder is quite BAD Advice and apparently does the majority of this board. Seems most everyone agrees, If you can it is certainly to the buyers advantage to go meet the breeder and see for yourself. On the titles thing, I told her it's not an excuse it's the reality that we only train once to twice per week because that's the way this club is, It's the only club within 200 + miles. so what is left ?

Spook go play with your ghost dogs. I simply stated that calling someones dog ugly is unacceptable, if you don't like it spook sorry about your luck. It was nice talking to you again but this troll has better things to do than address you any longer. Lets keep it simple and simply not acknowledge each other. I am one more person that you can ignore. Hey sooner or later you will be talking only to yourself. Have fun!!!

The relationship you have to the breeder is very important especially when you are starting out. As to here or germany I have seen a lot of "euro trash" end up here as well as good stuff. If you take the time to look you can often find a US/Canadian breeder with good lines and reasonable price comparitivly speaking. If you look at the cost of shipping it isn't much different from the cost of a plane ticket if you can catch a sale. and excess baggage shipping is way cheaper than cargo. Plus you get to meet the breeder face to face as well as look at puppy and make sure this is the dog from the line you want. Having bought dogs both ways I really prefer in person.

Thank you everyone for your responces. I just hope that I am making the right decision here! I am considering mabey just waiting a year or so and then take a trip to germany to go and see a few breeders myself. Thanks again for all your thoughts and take care :). Andrea

I think my ADHD has spread through cyber-space and infected the entire messageboard. How DO we manage to get SO far off-topic with petty squabbles and vindictive commentary everyone?
