When I lived in Fl years ago, a friend who was an exterminator made the comment," if you don't want roaches in the kitchen, don't feed them.".... same goes for stray dogs, or bears in your yard.

joanro, we're by no means the only ones who throw scraps out. My grand parents do I know; They did even before the trailer park even existed (where the dogs came from). They own almost all the land going down this road, and have for decades.; A neighbor down the street does that with scraps at times too. I see them as I walk my dogs often times, thrown out. I'm sure there could be more, my aunt and uncle also live down the road and I'm sure they do it too. I mean there are fields inbetween every house.  As the animal control officer said "the dogs shouldn't be running loose to begin with". But I know kids have torn holes in the fence that separate the trailer park from the fields, and the owners just don't put their dogs up or confine them in any way.  However, the neighbor yesterday.....seeing as he also knows someone down there (don't know exactly who he mentioned), and knows the dogs come from there......It's possible he may have mentioned this to them, so who knows maybe they will take at least some measure to confine the two dogs.

Hey, nope......But the animal control officer and I are pretty sure my neighbor contacted whoever it was in the trailer park, and they've now started confining the dog. I have not seen the dogs since then, but regardless....... As long as the job gets done. 

I would define that as success, lol, just not the way you'd planned.  Hope it stays that way for you and your pack.

PS...Hey.... how is Augie these days...did you figure out about that "shine" on his eyes?
