gouda....i see...it all makes perfect sense now......you lack ability to tell swine, dogs and Christians apart hence the determination to label everyone one label- it makes perfect sense....why complicate life, just keep doing what you do....when come across something that does not fit your mold you justify it with 10 reasons/versus to keep going your way....well...hope one day you will unravel the mystery of Mathew 7:6

Hi ladyfrost
Many years ago when I was younger I had a street ministry. The same roughnecks and hecklers always showed up when I was witnessing .
Should I have stopped and deprived the good poeple wanting to hear what I was preaching? Any way one of the hecklers that was the most
vocall and angry with me when ever I was in his area, punched me and broke my jaw.I never pressed charges against him.
He now is a pastor of a church.I thank God for having the courage to keep doing what he asked me to.

Hundmutter,, I do believe that the atheist are wrong, but I don't just tolerate people, I actually enjoy people and enjoy hearing why they believe the way they do..I just don't agree with them; nor them with me..
Even if there is no god, rights, or wrongs I really have nothing to lose..On the other hand, if the atheist is wrong they face a serious problem,,

LOVE that video Keith posted too. I've seen it before, and watching it again, I am still amazed at what a great job he did!

You have nothing to lose? That's called Pascal's wager and it's been proven to be a logical fallacy. What if it's one of the thousands of other Gods that have existed throughout history? What if the Muslims are right? What if the Jews are right? What if Zeus is all that? What are the odds that you're right? And what happens if you're not?

Gouda and Shtal, if you are so deeply rooted in the teaching of the OT, why do you call yourself Christians?? It terrifies me that either of you minister to children, that's a chilling thought! Come to think of it, how can you be sure the Jesus of NT is not the false prophet and the Jews are right? After all, his message was about love, wasn't it?

The bigger question, and I'll ask it again knowing that the so-called Christians will avoid it like the plague, is how to explain the presence of religions hundreds, sometimes even thousands, of years predating Christianity that tell the same story of a Messiah born of a virgin mother who had twelve disciples, born on December 25th, who died and came back from the dead...blah, blah, blah...that story is documented to have existed in history at least several hundred years prior to the time Christianity claims Jesus existed. Do the research...how is that possible?
Yeah...no answers...sort of like when someone asks the obvious question about where their god came from if he/she created everything...crickets.

I"ve never heard of any, other than the old testament prophesying the coming of Christ, and I'm too tired to do the research, so can you post a link?

Ruger1,
The question becomes GOD or no GOD which comes back to my very old post:
One Russian atheist astronomer came to US, spoke at University.
He said, folks - either there is God or there isn’t.
I thought to myself, LOL...WOW that is a brilliant conclusion to simply come too!
But then he said, both possibilities are frightened; I thought wow that is a brilliant statement!!!
He said you see if there is a God – we better (should) find out who he is...Find out what he wants and do what he says. If there is no God, we are in trouble; we hurtling through space -
66 thousand miles an hour and nobody is in charge. LOL: “This is scary thought”
