The War on Drugs has not stopped drugs but has increased the supply and fed the cartels and crooked banks. Since prohibition doesn't work, we need realistic drug laws with realistic enforcement of driving laws and good availability of education about the dangers of drug misuse, dependency as well as affordable treatment programs.  We need to legalize pot, license producers and tax and control quality. This can cut the cartels and banks out of it.  Will this be problem free, no.  But it is the best way to go in the long run.

It is a State's Rights/Tenth Amendment issue and basically the feds should have no jurisdiction. But the feds want to get involved and control, everything so it will be a tough road to hoe to get them to stop interfering in State's Rights.

We need commercial hemp for paper, clothes, rope and fuel as well as certain types of food. The ordinary hemp plant is non-intoxicating and just makes good business sense.

We need to stop telling others how to live.
Do away with these double standards, it's ok for man made substances to cause harm, but not ok to use natural things such as a simple plant that is part of the natural world.
