Ya and get this, the Tampa Bay and Florida State Police reserved a spot for a "logistics hub" with us at the Ron Paul Festival at the Fairgrounds. We decided to have the "beer garden" between the Police and the US Armed Forces Station. The Military and Veterans March will have to pass threw the "logistics hub" to get to the Ron Paul side. LMAO

Seriously Blitzen, if your in Tampa .. come on over to the ☆☆☆ PAUL FESTIVAL ☆☆☆ THE BIGGEST PARTY THE R3VOLUTION HAS EVER THROWN! We had more tickets sold in the first month of adverts than we did for all of Ronstock in 2008. LOL Fun time for the whole family. Lot's of kid games and stations too. Tons of music bands - we trying to get Snoop Dog there - he's a Ron Paul supporter.

Your also welcome to join a breakfast with Ron Paul and his Revolution on Monday August 27th. I think there's 13 seats left. Hurry !! Tickets with the R3volution tables are 100.00 - with Ron Paul tables 500.00.

This is sooo exciting !! Less than 2 weeks away !!! We have a Dogs of the R3volution March too following the FFA and John Deere Tractor presentation.

Prkonig sounds like another flranger twin! BE, I can't go to Tampa, but I'll be watching! Have a large time :)

LOL, Joanro, I thought exactly the same thing til someone suggested that it's probably Rat Pak King (RPKonig) back for another bite of the PDB apple. Was RPKing  banned?

I won't be driving anywhere near downtown Tampa during the convention, BE.  We have been warned to avoid that area if possible - some bridges are open only to locals with ID or to the delgates or other VIP's. Enjoy and good luck with Paul.

"If Romney's tax returns become a matter of public record before the GOP convention, he will not get the nomination."

Polls show Romney's tax returns are a non-issue made up by Media Matters. No one cares except those who wouldn't vote for Romney anyway. Most people wouldn't understand all the calculations made by his accountants. It was never implied his returns were audited or falsified. I think that as long as his returns are legal, the less he paid the better for him. I myself wish I were smart enough not to have to pay taxes. Then I could make my own charitable contributions and not to Solyndra or Afghanastan, Planned Parenthood or GM. If IRS regs allow billionaires to pay no taxes, shame on the IRS not the taxpayer. I don't know anyone who pays more than they owe, even those who said they were willing can't honestly deny deductions they are entitled to. And if they did, it wouldn't make a dent in the Federal deficit, so what's the point? The fact that Mitt paid $3 million in taxes in 2010, regardless of the rate, makes Harry Reid a flat out liar. And it certainly makes Romney a better man than so many who don't file returns at all.

I care and so should everyone who intends to vote this  year. I'll ask the obvious - if he has nothing to hide, why won't he release them? It's an easy fix. The missus says it's because "they will use it as more ammunition".

Blitzen, Can you tell me what difference it would make if Mitt Romney did not have to pay taxes?  Would it make him dishonest?  Not if he hasn't been audited or failed to file like many politicians who keep getting re-elected.  Would it mean the middle class would have to pay more to make up the difference?  No,it would not change what you or I have to pay.  Goverment spending and tax law determines how much we owe, not whether some rich people pay or don't pay.  Not that we have a budget anyway.  But if you don't like tax laws, that's not Romney's fault because he didn't write them.  Are you angry because his deductions and investments allow him to pay a lower rate?  Again, he can't determine rates unless he is elected, and even then Congress will make the changes if any.  Is it a problem because "it just isn't fair?" Would you prefer a flat tax or higher rates for the rich?  Unless we eliminate deductions, as Romney plans to do, the adjusted income of the rich will still allow them to pay lower rates. So Obama's plan accomplishes nothing.  It will only appease those who are jealous of the rich and successful (until they realize they've been fooled.)
Taxes are intended to be confidential.  Yes, candidates for public office may be expected to prove they are in legal compliance, but they shouldn't have to release all their financial transactions to the world. Maybe Romney is donating to charities some wouldn't agree with.  I don't think one's choice of charities should be anyone else's business.  I know he gives alot to his church which some might disapprove.  Most people think Romney doesn't want to remind people how rich he is. You can believe he has something to hide.  Ronald Reagan only released one year of returns (and we still don't know what he was "hiding") but it didn't affect his ability to govern.
Romney has released one year (2010) and an estimate for 2011. He has stated he has paid a rate of at least 13% for the last 10 years.  I believe him and I just can't think of a reason I should care to know any more.
