Lennard:
I checked my accounts and there is no activity, so I think I am safe..  Maybe they had a spytbot following me?
I won't know until Monday, probably.

And it was the kids computer that had these bugs... ! What is a Heur trojan any way? That one was very, very, bad.

Lennard, thanks. I mean it. I WAS feeling okay, thinking I got rid of the thing. I am sure it was the 32win generic version, I threw away something with a path that said, Mozilla, epic , blah blah. When I  asked the kid, he had no idea what I was talking about. He is only starting to get interested in what the computer can do besides emulators.

I also did get the "task manager" to load, and if any one recalls, I could not get CTRL, ALT + Delete to work at one time, earlier.

And I do thank GSD, too, because his software suggestions led me to discovering this trojan. It was only the inability of being able to boot the download of the new Kaspersky Lab software, that finally led to the steps needed to find this bugger. And it wasn't easy. I did the obvious, first, and then the not so obvious.

I just wonder if there is a hidden something in the directory? That I don't know about or how to look for?

By checking on "GOOGLE" it appears that some Security Software suggests that this is a "Positive" find but some are suggesting that this is known to be a "False Positive", in other words looks like a problem but is`nt.

As ever, and I know I keep saying this, your best clue to any Computer problem is GOOGLE, type in your problem, change and add weords until you get the answers you are looking for, and then do what you feel is neccessary to overcome your problem.

If paying to fix it then word of mouth is your best option i.e. has a friend used "XXX Store" & is now happy if so go there.

I`m not trying to get out of helping but as each problem is often unique to your set up then approaching from different angle is often the best way.

I use a Progame called Secunia PSI, see link below, this keeps all installed Software & Security Patches up to date, or lets you know if something needs up dating

http://secunia.com/products/consumer/psi/

seems to work for me.

Also this site can warn you of Software that has new editions

http://www.filehippo.com/

Top Right corner to install their Update checker

as ever hope all this helps

Thanks Lennard for those other links, too.

I am inclined to think there was something real to that heur win32 trojan, because besides being slow, the computer was doing really weird things, like when I tried to go back to the KasperskyLab site and it kept giving me a 404, which I knew was impossible. So, that's when I did the system restore, safe mode with networking, and stumbled on a second program from Kaspersky that finally showed me where the troublesome file was.

And when I did throw it away, everything started to work, so if that isn't a real problem that got "fixed", then we all know why I'm not in the computer biz! LOL

But really, I just wanted to let you know, too, that Safecart credited my account, so I think maybe these professional Indian computer people think they are doing a good service, it just was not enough for someone (paranoid) like me?

One thing though, I still am wondering whatever became of that "camera" shot. You probably think I made that up!
