Steve, I clicked on this thread when you replied because I knew you were gonna remark on how much we will pay over here. You should have sold her to the states. You could have gotten between $7000-$230,000!

No, : )
Try finding out anything at all from the french regarding older breeding bitches. They understand the translator perfectly when "they" want to. LOL
I also have a life long distrust of anyone selling a "perfectly" good, ready for whatever 18 month old bitch, out of working championship winner bob or whatever. If the bitch was worth two shits 98% of all people would keep her. Not picking on Steve, as I have read that ad many many times. LOL

Jeff sometimes life happens. I have sold a very nice dog because I moved to USA. My friend sold his dog ZVV3 male because he had a baby and the baby had some medical problems, he kept the male in a kennel abot 1 hour away commute with a bicycle. Things happen. I know of ZVV3 IPO3 SCH3 female that was sold because life happens.
I got a young female for 1000 bucks because the owner purchased her, then got hit by a cara dn had to place all the dog he had becasue the recovery was going to take long. The mentioned female was sold because the owner simply did not have the time. He rather sell than keep and do nothing with the dog.

Jenni,
we pay from 3000-4500 for green dogs. Sometimes a bit higher depending on the dog. Canadian dollars Most have basic obedience, started on the sleeve and tracking. Nothing fancy. Hips and health done.

Duke
You say what was wrong with her absolutely nothing other than she hated a Kennel Female and nothing could change it so she had to go.
With other Dogs Male or Female she would not give them a second glance just the one Female whoever has her now and whatever price they paid will have a very good Dog indeed that is certain for the Sch sport and her Pedigree is second to none for breeding but for the sake of the other dogs and the neigbours she had to leave as hard as it was for me to part with her
Duke' i have never kept dogs for financial gain, I reared from 8 weeks old a Top Sheep Herding Border Collie and worked him, at 4 years old i was offered a small fortune for him but declined he was my dog, He came over to Belgium with me where he has since passed on and is buried in the Garden. My only regret was that i never bred a Pup from him to keep

jenn, I thought I read it, but guess I didn't.
I did spend a couple of years in the dog buying mode. pups can be priced as high as $2500.From what I have seen and priced, I don't think the $3500 or so mentioned is out of line at all for a bitch (in the U.S.) old enough to be x-rayed and show what she brings to the table. Some are asking $5000 - $7000 for what you are describing.
apologize for the misunderstanding. every time I get on one of your threads, my imagination runs away on me and my comprehension gets a little cloudy.

Rik, LOL. Now I feel all warm and fuzzy...yet also kind of the same way I feel when I'm having a conversation w/someone (man) who can't seem to maintain eye contact. Oh well. These days, I'll take what I can get!

If you got that lazy eye fixed, people wouldn't be so uncomfortable looking you in the eye.
