I'm the only one who thinks, yes, it seems, because it also just seems to me the defense was like such a "hail mary play" that worked. This idea never would have been conceived if the stakes weren't so high, IMHO.
If the stakes weren't so high, would throwing George under the bus have been as believable in the sense of creating doubt? Hmmmmmmmmmm.......

"My point goes back to the question did it matter that Casey's life was on the line"?
NO, IMO. Because according to the judge's instructions she could have been convicted of several lesser crimes that the death penalty couldn't be given out on. Now my opion is based on the fact that the jury read and understood the judge's instructions.
Over the weeknd I read several juror's comments (I assume given during the juror selection process).
One of them stated I could never point the finger at anyone.
The other stated only God can Judge.
So I thought Oh boy it doesn't look like these two could convict anyone, never mind to a possible death sentence.
I never thought it would be a unanimous aquittal though.

Lying to the police, what was truth and what was a lie? I'd assume she lied about everything, including her innocence. I'd have hung that jury. Probably literally.

Casey is a sociopath and pathological liar. Just listening to the Tracy McLaughlin police interviews will give you reason to pause. She lived with her for several days after Casey was bailed out of jail after the 1st arrest.

I'm beginning to think the MSM is promoting this divisive question of the legitimacy of the jury system for a reason.
Holy Crap! I agree with BE! This is a scary day.
Yes, the MSM is absolutely doing this.
They're also responsible for distorting public opinion of Tort Law and convincing Americans that we have a "friviolous" civil justice system, at the behest of large corporate interests who don't want to be held accountable for their actions.
Don't believe me? Show me a case that was reported in the MSM as a "friviolous" civil case.
