Alright you people wanted it and here it is. I am a moderator. I will not answer most pm's and am not going to be drawn into any arguing in pm's. I will not tell you why another member is blocked. Don't even bother asking. That is their own business. If you have site issues or see problems feel free to let me know.

So, you are as helpful as OLI is?  LMAO

Oli has had some bad news lately and he does not need this bs. You need to take it up with me and all I can say at this time is things have changed.

Well I hope Oli's news is not too bad and he and his family are well.  We all go through hardships in our lifes, I hope he will be ok.

To your post, we have taken it up with you.  I have voiced my opinion, let's hope things are going to change.  As usual all we can do is wait and see.

BTW, I thought Sock Puppet was the one to go to for help with site problems?

There are many people who can help with site issues. I am just saying to take back to Oli. I am also talking about things the moderators miss. Until the other moderators get moderator user names.

"ARE WE READY TO RRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMBBLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEE?!"

Hey, I haven't been here long enough to hang out anyone's dirty laundry, but in all honesty you don't have to be a rocket scientist  when reading the threads to know who has experience, knowledge and passion about the GSD breed, And if you have the time and energy to go back into the history you can establish who the above represents.

I have already come to respect the words of some individuals, the words, not the person because I don't know who some of them are. Now, mind you I've only been @ here for a month but I'm not understanding the concepts;
1. If you speak the truth, have the knowledge, experience and training to back it up, why do you NOT want people to know who you are? Yeah, the author or avatar is cute but why don't people want people to know who they are???

Human nature............................. is just that, human nature. Just exactly they way we talk about the GSD doing, thinking, acting, working, showing like we say they do! It's a shame when PRIDE, EGOS, ATTITUDE, TESTOSTERONE, ESTROGEN, and MIGHTIER THAN THOU characteristics represent the individual first hand! (Any other negative characteristics I couldn't think of).

Do I NEED to type this response? NO. Do I WANT to? YES.

2. Since I am new, I don't know how things have been done or not done the last six months, year or whatever. For the MODS, I'm presuming, NOT ASSUMING!, that those positions were established or chosen "FOR THE GOOD OF THE FORUM, THE BREED GSD", to enhance the growth of information, experience etc, etc,. etc.? I don't know????? By what I'm seeing recently MAYBE moderators when commenting have to stamp their comments identifying who they are? Are you MODS working a shift/time table where at a certain time we the members of the forum will know at o33o hrs. the MOD is so and so? We're suppose to be on the same team working/learning for the same outcome! Respect, professionalism = two way street.

I came on this forum, (not just a forum), because what I initially read answered some of my questions. It appeared some individuals without looking into their eyes and looking at their faces knew what they were talking about, Some were civilians, some were military and some were working the streets and downrange! Both men and women, young and old, breeders, handlers, etc., etc.

I saw a thread about PROFESSIONALISM, Did we already forget what people were writing? I'm going to give a stupid analogy, so please don't delete me.................... Say, just for the sake of conversation, say the MODS are like our teachers. (I'm not insulting anyone or putting them down) and the members of the forums are the students. Now at times we know some students are gifted or could even do the teachers' job. But if the teachers delete information or give partial information for the assignment then how are the students going to be able to talk about, figure out what needs to be accomplished or complete the assignment when they don't have all the information or facts. How will they learn when only getting half the story? JMHO We just need to look at the bigger picture! And MODS, maybe some sort of warning when the member is starting to "whatever" it is that is wrong, as long as it is wrong? Say like a "USE OF FORCE Continuum'? I don't have the answers...... Just some ideas and thoughts.

Anyways, that's why I joined this forum!

P.S.      Slamdunc? What's your bio?

Alboe2009,

You asked for my bio, prepare to be bored:

I am a Police K9 handler working a cross trained Patrol / Narcotics dog.  I raised my dog from a pup and donated him to my PD to be used as my K9.  I have done all of the training with this dog, form OB, tracking, agility, apprehension work and narcotics detection.  I know every K9 handler thinks they have the greatest dog in the world.  I can tell you that is a bunch of crap; because I have the greatest K9, the others are tied for second.  ;)

I got my first GSD in 1984 and got involved in Schutzhund in 1994.  I have raised my sport dogs from pups and titled them to SchH3's.   I still train with a small group of SchH people on the weekend .  I have decoyed since the mid 90's and have had the opportunity to decoy for many dogs from puppy hood to SchH 3.  I currently still decoy for SchH dogs and the Police K9's for our city and neighboring cities during training.  I am very much into tracking and have recently begun changing the way our K9 unit tracks on hard surfaces.  This new approach has been very successful in actual apprehensions.  I have been fortunate to have the ability to train with some very well known trainers and learn, borrow or steal what ever techniques I can from them.

I currently have 2 GSD's:  Annabelle von Einschuh, my 11 1/2 year old female Working line GSD and "Boomer"  my Police K9.
Here are there pedigrees:  Annabelle

Boomer:

I'm into working line dogs and if you also are then you might like their pedigrees.  I have hosted several seminars that many people from the PDB have attended.  I have also posted my name on this forum several times with my contact info.

So, why do you ask?

I had an inkling. Just verified it. Your avatar reminds me of the pic, you know we see so many of them, where the snipers' spotter is the K9 looking through the spotters' scope. Your pic reminded me of that. Can't make out what's undeneath you though? A makeshift mat/bed? When I first saw the pic was wondering military or L.E. thast's all. I hear you on your dog! I wonder if other breeds say so many times that theirs is the best because these GSDs sure bring it to the table in many aspects of work. Especially for L.E., miltary and public safety!

That is a picture of my dog on the side of the road after a narcotics seizure.  Driver had a mobile marijuana grow op in his trunk.  I set some of the plants out and took a picture with the dog on the side of the highway.  It was a good stop and we didnt expect to see a trunk filled with pot plants.
