That's great Jenn! Congrats!  Back when you were debating whether or not to get her, I had a good feeling that she would be a cool dog and that her hips wouldn't be trouble.

Glad I was right for a change. ;-)

May I ask why you are selling her, and why she isn't for breeding? (or is that until after she is titled?)

Congrats. Nice looking dog. Did I miss something? You just bought her at ? 3 and you're selling her?

Jenni78

Good question, why are you selling a dog that you just bought?  Cant you try and keep her and work on the issues she has?

For someone who gives others a hard time for rehoming/selling a dog, you certainly don't mind doing it yourself.

And why did you delete the link to the add?
Here it is:

Why are you shamelessly  bragging that you bought a dog with exellent hips?  You didn't raise it nor breed it; therefore you did nothing to make the hips the way they are.

Uh, I clearly missed something, but give me a break. S**t happens.  People buy dogs for breeding all the time they later decide they don't want to use for breeding, then sell.  Why is it anyone's business why JEnni wants to sell the dog? Are you buying it?

And, geez, who wouldn't be happy tto see a dog go OFA excellent?

What a joke. People can misjudge a pregancy by weeks and the poor dog has to whelp on the road, and they get a pat on the back for a job well done, while someone decides to sell a dog they have chosen NOT to breed and they get jumped on? It boggles my mind.

Here's a quote from the ad: "I will not sell this bitch to a breeding-only home"  So she doesn't want the dog to be a puppy factory? God forbid!

Jenni changed the wording about the breeding.  Not sure why she deleted her posts though. I have nothing against rehoming dogs, as most dogs adjust very well.

As  to why she is selling her, that is the first question I ask anyone selling something. This is a discussion board, and I trust Jenni's instincts on dogs and am always curious what these pedigrees produce.

Very nice looking female Jenni, I hope you find a good home for her.

Oh, this board makes me laugh.

Dmdmitriev, LMAO. Why on Earth would you assume she has "issues" ??? Or that I'm not willing to work on said "issues" if she had them? If you cared "why" because you were interested in purchasing her (though I find your type never really is...) then I would be more than happy to tell you ALL you ever wanted to know about Prudence. Your ignorant post tells me you clearly don't know a thing about me or how I treat dogs or do business. And um, OFA excellent is just a happy thing to get in the mail. Never said I was responsible for it; it's like winning the lottery. You didn't DESERVE it, or EARN it, so you shouldn't be happy about it? LMAO.

KCzaja- please don't confuse things by adding logic onto this board! Egads!

Red Sable, I did change the wording; it was a typo. I had said she won't be sold to a breeding home, and I forgot the "only." She can be bred- she'd be an asset to a breeding program- but she needs a REAL life, too. I don't want the DDRpuppymillerswhokeeptheirdogsindirtrunsandnevertakethemoutordoadamnthingwiththem interested in her. So, I tried to dissuade them, by saying I'd sell her on limited reg. because I want her to go to a good home.

I had meant to link the thread into the ad, and did the reverse by mistake at first. Then I thought I'd leave it, then I got so many freaking inquiries on her, I took it down. I spent most the day yesterday on the phone. She's a popular gal;-)

Anyone who would like to call me and talk about Prudence because they are considering purchasing her and can prove to me that they would be a good home for her is welcome to do so. I think I have her sold (as long as the references check out ok), but as I have told everyone who calls, the BEST HOME FOR PRU is top priority- first and highest bidder is for auction objects, not dogs.

There is not a thing in the world wrong with this dog. I can only do justice to so many dogs. I do not have "kennel dogs." Every one of my dogs get rotated; they all get family time inside, they all get play/work time outside, and they rotate where they sleep.

Not that it's anyone's business, but I have the opportunity to take back my dream female from Capri's first litter (the import litter from a sire I have no access to in this country) due to unfortunate family circumstances and this is a dog who NEEDS a special home. I kept her several months to be sure she got a home who could handle her. I am THRILLED to have her back, however, I am buying her back. It's only fair, and I appreciate the fact that my buyer honored his contract and called me first. Additionally, I have a dog I sold as a dual purpose PSD K9 I'm bringing home due to political b.s., cutting a K9 unit down, now he's too old...bureaucracy stuff. Did I have to take him back? No, but I said when I sold him that I wanted him back if for some reason he wasn't on the streets anymore. Any dog I produce or own ALWAYS is welcome back at ANY time for ANY reason.

My first priority is to the dogs- not internet busybodies. When I have homegrown or special needs dogs coming home, I have to make sure I have the time and space for them. And I don't mean crate or kennel space. Space in my LIFE is the concern. It just made sense to sell the dog who would do best in a different environment, and that's Pru.

Nowhere have I ever said I thought negatively of someone for selling a dog. There are circumstances in which I think it's selfish and thoughtless, but there are thousands of legitimate reasons to find a dog a better home. The best home for a dog is not always its current home.

Hope this satisfies those of you who are having cable outages and your soaps aren't on right now. Good grief.

by dmdmitriev on 19 November 2010 - 17:11

I know you Jenni78.  You're quick to slander, quick to jump on those finding new homes for their dogs.  You gave a poor family a hard time for wanting to find their K9 a home, saying things like you'd never give up your dogs... a bit hippocritical.  You gave someone a hard time for wanting to find their dysplasitic dog a new home saying, you felt sorry for the dog... aren't you sorry for your own dog?

So it is okay to kick one dog out of your home when you want to bring "better dogs" in?

Sound like she was a cheap commodity to you from the start.  What happened to the bond?  You say she would be best in a different home.  Perhaps a little forsight before you got her would have been good, and you'd realise you can't care for a high drive dog.

I brag when my children do something great, when my freshman son starts on a Division 1 basketball team (and I spent countless hours practicing with him), when my youngest starting reading at age 2.5.

You must have small ass for all the times you laugh it off.  Though I see it is a defense mechanism.  You were hurt by my questions, now you attempt to hide the hurt with internet "lmao".

I don't brag when I won the lottery.  I don't brag about being happy.  I brag when I have done something I am proud of, for which I have played a role in.

For someone who has never titled a dog, and only produced a few pups, you speak like a seasoned expert.
