Ali is impressive! She SO reminds me of Portia. Neither one of them look or act their age. Ali hits like a ton of bricks.

tmb, isn't Leilani Oliva certified now?

PS. Thanks, Shelley! I can't wait to MEET Portia!

Yes Jacky, Leilani is certified. But tbm is correct. No one gets certified via video. The above girl may have worked club dogs, anybody can work club dogs. You have to be certified to work a trial. That includes decoy camps and passing a test.

That is good to know, I was not aware of a female being certified as of yet.  There is however no way she was certified from a video.

by VomMarischal on 01 September 2010 - 21:09

LOL. No way did I think she certified from a video!

<<<< Darryl is all about safety of the decoys, dogs and people.>>>>
<<<<I have personally heard Darryl more often than I can count stress the fact how important catching the dogs safely is>>>>

I totally agree having been to several of his seminars and trialing under him about 6 times!!

<<<<I would like to also add that only 2 or 3 decoys passed at that PSA Decoy Seminar.>>>>

I was there for the first day and was not aware of anything that was happening that didn't put the safety of the dogs first.  I looked back at my pictures and saw nothing that would indicate otherwise.

Here is a question regarding trials.....

How many people/clubs did not have many entries beforehand but went ahead with the trial and had lots of entries the day of it?

Looking back at emails I see that 4 days before the St. Louis trial there were NO pre-entries but the end result was over 30.  Knowing that could be a high probability of this happening I feel would encourage people to go on with the trials and not cancel.

I hope you guys are able to get what you need to keep PSA alive, along with healthy numbers of participants on the West Coast.  You train hard and I can sure understand your frustration with the lack of support.

I know in my area there is many that want to train in it..There is just no clubs near us all are 2-3hrs away..I wish it would get back to where it was and have clubs popping up around here..

Like I said, these people just threw a trial in June. Only 2 dogs not from our own club showed up. Why do it all again 3 months later??? They rescheduled for Oct, I'm sure that one will go on as planned regardless. We as a club do need to trial our own dogs but it would be nice to get some help, flying a judge all this way. Club fees only go so far, the rest is coming out of my TD's pocket.
