I ask only because in terms of slaughter, it's the lucky cows, pigs, horses, who get a clean bullet to the head, rather than a half assed job.

I figured it was BS anyway.
The thread was BS to begin with.

Anyway I love how you all get your panties in a wad. Makes for interesting reading.
Dianne, I totally agree with you about tethering, it does not make a dog aggressive.
BTW, I've never killed an animal on purpose in my life and couldn't do it, nor do I keep my dogs tethered.
Just sayin' .

I use a chain and a kennel for temporary confining, the problem is people who leave their animals confined be it a crate or a kennel, tethering sounds so cute but it's still just a rose .
How would you wanna go if you could choose?
This could be a whole new thread by itself.

I am talking pets here. How can anyone love and cherish a puppy only to cull it at 6 months or a year. It takes a cold hearted person.
I am out. You all can say what you want I just have a huge heart and find it very difficult to cull. Sorry I am not able to cold heartedly put a healthy pet down.
It would be like taking all 3 year old's and testing IQ and the ones that did not make the cut are terminated. Same thing.
Sorry I just can not accept this.

I've gotta come clean here.
The main reason that I created this topic is that, upon checking out Diane "No Curs" Jessup's website, I thought that there were probably quite a few other people who would find her website interesting and informative, as I have. Since her link was tucked away in another topic thread I thought creating this topic would make it more accessible to folks who might appreciate it.
I titled this topic as I did, and wrote my post in the style that I did, primarily to satisfy my own sense of humour. I thought it would be kind of fun and funny to *Punk* the Drama Junkies. Now, judging from the comments that have appeared so far on this thread, some peope "got it" and some people didn't, as would be expected. If you didn't "get it" don't feel bad as it was fairly oblique and I'm not sure if I would have caught the joke myself if I hadn't written it. What has become evident that I didn't expect is that you cannot *Punk* a Drama Junkie. Why? Because Drama Junkies will find or create drama even where there is none. And thus it is. Oh Well....
A couple of other issues have been raised here that probably deserve their own Topic threads, namely the practice of Tethering dogs and the practice of Culling.
I think that if someone will take the time to read at Diane's website her entire section on "Housing", that they will find themselves better informed to consider and discuss what constitutes humane housing and containment for dogs. When judiciously utilized and properly employed, tethering is not inhumane. Please read Diane's content on the entire subjject of Housing before coming to any false conclusions about what she is advocating, Okay?
On the issue of Culling, again a subject that deserves a Topic thread in it's own right, I just received a PM which said, " Are you seriously holding someone who breeds puppies and then drowns them if they don't meet her sick standards up as some kind of hero or role model?"
To which I responded thusly, "You might want to consider climbing down off your High Horse and looking into the means by which the GSD as a breed came into existence. As a GSD owner you are a beneficiary of culling. Sad? Maybe. But true? No doubt."
Carry on without me.
My work here is done!

Usually I am able to see many of your arguments and agree with a lot of them but on this you are being horrifically hypocritical.
The life of a cow, pig or horse is not worth less than the life of a dog or a pet.
Animal husbandry is animal husbandry and actually you're right, I do not think a 'big hearted' person can do it well.

Your a bit late.
Those topics have been discussed time and time again.
You lied when you said, ( I don't do drama )..... and your a punk.
It will be no problem to go on living in your absence.
