Steph, I am so sorry to hear of anyone emailing you with criticism for the diffucult decision that you were forced to make regarding this dog.
Folks, nobody had the guts to step up to the plate and take this dog and work with him, and because no one did, he had to be put down. Shut your traps, and silence those fingers..For the blame rests solely on the head of the jerko who refused to care for him right from the beginning, and on those of you who didn't step up and could have, yet have the guts to malign Steph for her choice.
I'm not usually this nasty, and for that I do apologize, but it takes a really little, little man (or woman) to put a woman down who is recovering from the kind of injuries Steph is, living alone and trying to care for dogs no one else wants, who can't handle a dog like this guy was. Shame on you!

Thanks all for understanding, I have not been able to open this post till now. It still hurts too much, what is so sad that it wasn't the dogs fault, just the owners...there was some good in the dog. But he was not adoptable the way he was, and I couldn't keep him tied in a kennel the rest of his life. That is no life for a dog...

And we respect you for all you do for the GSD, including the incredibly hard decisions...
And those who don't can go jump in a lake...Any lake will do, as long as it is deep and they are wearing concrete shoes.
