ShelleyR

by ShelleyR on 28 January 2010 - 19:01

Drinking a pot of the incredibly good coffee Micele brought me, thinking of other ways toarrange the kitchen-to-be area for now, and trying to extimate the cost of lumber I will need to build a closet in the bedroom once the floor is disinfected and sealed. Sooner or later the "biz casual" garments are going to have to come out of the suitcase. :-) Its been awhile since I built anything more complicated than a whelping box!

Its going to be in the high 50's here today, partly cloudy, occasional light breeze. The dogs are starting to shed already, so a good part of this afternoon will be spent grooming. Tracking with a few new friends on Saturday.

Just for a minute yesterday, I tried to visualize again the view from the front window of "the place formerly known as home" in Lehighton, PA. My brain wouldn't go back there.

Auntie Peggy gave Xena some nice toys. The little monster is ripping one of them to shreds as I write this. Now that she has all her adult teeth she can really do a job on things... like my shoes.

Have a fantasic day!

Pharaoh

by Pharaoh on 28 January 2010 - 20:01

As to the "all day" sunny weather, the sun did not break through until 2:30 PM.  When I woke up, it was like a white out-the fog and low clouds version.  It was so thick I could just see the treetops that surround my upstairs deck.

But then a miracle happened. The sun burned throught he clouds and fog. I still couldn't see the bay, but my little world was pleasingly sunny.  So, we went jogging.

Pharaoh was ready to go and he brought his Jolly Ball to carry around the track (empty mouths are the devil's play thing)
The track is surfaced with decomposed granite.  But, there was so much rain, for so many days, it was like mud and there were lots of tracks.
opps-that's my keeping track of the laps.  But there were other strange prints.   that's Pharaoh     that's me but, who is this?    and this?    It looks like a deer print.  But, it was all around the track going in the same direction.  Weird.   Well, this is wacky Marin County, land of hot tubs and peacock feathers.  Maybe someone has a pet deer and goes jogging with it.

Pharaoh just loves jogging.  I am so slow, he has lots of time to amuse himself.  There seems to be a "resident"  of the field.  This has been parked for a month.  Maybe he has a pet named Bambi?

Well, it is sunny today....more jogging.

It's beautiful here today too. Was yesterday as well. It's been nice opening the doors and windows to air the place out and walking with the dogs outside. Still abit soggy in places but at least 90% of the standing water is gone and oh the blue skies are extra wonderful, when you haven't seen them in weeks. I forgot how good the sun feels on my skin. I even caught my cat laying in the square sunny spot on the kitchen floor yesterday, soaking up the first sun in forever. Too bad it's probably going to rain again tomorrow.

Ladies excuse my ignorance but what the hell is RED Shelley?? Has shelley gone commie since she got to California???

Bob,

If you want to see what the red is all about, you have to go to the first page.

The kind of Red you were concerned about, is crawling all over the SF Bay Area and DC, there is probably not much of that where Shelley lives.  But, that is two hours South East of here.

Shelley? Communism? Bwah ha ha ha ha ha!
Love the image of Pharoah with the Jolly Ball.
I am still finding things Michele put in the bags and boxes she brought me. Peggy looked jealous when I pulled a neat pocket knife out. She loves the red too!

This place will look okay once I get it cleaned up and decorated. Little by little.
Portia can't wait to get a piece of Gary. :-D

Shelley,

Did you find the stash of Ricola, Airborne and Vitamin C?

Airborne is a fizzy tab (like AlkaSeltzer) that you just drop into a glass of water or juice and drink.

I can't even remember all the stuff I stuck in there inside of things.

Treasure Hunt.......................

I just found the Airborne, Ricola  and Vitamen C today. Now that the window is clean behind them, I'll get a picture of the red velvet curtains tomorrow. What a wonderful day it was today. I got out and did obedience and played with all 5 GSD's this evening. T insisted on doing some work after hearing me out with the others. He doesn't know he is supposed to be retired sometimes.

Small wonder the dogs and I are happy here.
FOUR top certified helpers? If a dog brings the stuff to the table, these guys will find it and make it shiny

BTW-Those speakers emit only 100% pure rock music.

Noodle- yesterday evening

Happy dogs eat and thrive.
Noodle is eating the bottom out of her feed pail and gaining weight. I am going to have to cut the rest of the dogs back before they get too fat. This is a VERY good thing.

Portia- also yesterday evening

I wonder.. If I eat TOTW will MY hair shine like my dogs'?
My camera phone does not do well with action shots, and after all they've been through I didn't have the heart to correct them for not standing still (yet) thus the pix on the platz.
