I would just LOVE to see pictures of your pretty girl working on the ranch. I do believe there is a big difference between "work" and "sport". Your dog is a real working dog.

I really can't see the point to breeding any breed of dog if you the breeder can't take back the dog if a problem arises,
a responsible breeder should be responsible for the pup they welcomed into the world for the entire life
of that dog, that should be a question that the prospective puppy buyer should ask the breeder, after all it's a part of life,
situations can change, we don't live in a perfect world........
If you have a dog that went to a shelter, and you know who the breeder was,the shelter should be able to take the dog back to the breeder, maybe if they got enough dogs returned to them and were forced to take them back they would think twice about bringing anymore into the world
