Greeting's,
I hope you all had a wonderful Sunday, mine turned out to be exceptional.
I must say I am humbled by this experience and my eye's have been opened once again. I see sometime's what other's do not, but this one I didn't see coming. I'm talking about those who have been where I am now, on the recieving end of judgement. To walk in someone else's shoe's is to know yourself as much as anything else.
I am as guilty of this as anyone here, almost. Some have a real passion for it. I know I will never be the same. I am not sure what is worth addressing or not, but I'll have to say something wont I.
Everyone has a plan, some breed for the next Schutzhund champion or for PPD, some are breeder's for show and conformation, including color and marking's. Some people actually breed white(swiss) shepherd's. I read that thread too. Other's breed for money and that's definately not me. I just like watching dog's having sex !! LOL !! Just kidding, that was for ranger. Some only breed to (IMPROVE THE BREED) or so they say.
It sound's good but no one has control over (THE BREED) per say. First rule do no harm, I'm not. The breed is safe.
All these breeding's have a priority at the onset, and that's obvious by the show V working dog debate's. I have my priority's too. Yes I want a solid black GSD, it happen's. I have alway's stated that I have different idea's of what a GSD should be and that I look for the quality's that I prefer. You will never find these quality's on the pedigree, or see them in a show, or know them from competition. Pedigree, title's,ribbon's and trophy's are only part of the total sum of a dog's worth. There are other thing's that have to be experienced to know. I know my dog's. I know what I want. Without going into long detail it's what some of you loosely call the total dog, the golden middle, I've heard other term's to describe it also.
Why I want to breed Midnite when her pedigree is so lack luster should be obvious, I know more about her than you do.
She is worthy to me for my purpose's. I promise not to compete against any of you, I promise I wont destablize the gene pool, I promise no pup's will end up in shelter's, puppy mill's, or on the street's. And I promise I will remain poor and lower middle class. And I promise that her puppy's will be (good solid GSD's).
By the way, I'm not even sure this breeding will take place unless everything just happen's to fall into place just right. I do have a plan in motion but you know how that goes. I do plan on being a little more understanding to those who post here.
Thank you all,
Brent.

I was down and seeing the hundreds of purebreed & mixed dogs in our local shelter and sometimes get upset if I think people are adding to the problem, especially long timers on this board who should be very picky and careful.
But i do enjoy a good dog joke..

Two Moons- How many litters have you bred over the last 5 years?
Why do you not advertise them here?
Are you hiding this from us?
Where do you advertise them?
You mention in other posts breeding different female?
Do you resuce GSD's then breed them?

by Two Moons on 01 September 2008 - 19:09
Ranger,
In the last ten year's I have had one litter.
I would not ship so local's only. Midnite had pup's when I got her, she was left to run loose by her previous owner.
They were destroyed......chew on that !! It was my call and a wise one not knowing what bred her.
She had a litter after her OFA, that's the only litter we have had around here in ten year's. I'm not a breeder.
I still see a couple of her puppy's that are close by. They have turned out healthy and have not had any problem's.
It's time for me to go. You should get out and enjoy the day, you never know what tomorrow will bring.
Brent.
