Hi Chris, is Timo the first dog on that web site? Beautiful head whoever he is. Interesting information for me, Blitz is a Flick grandson and I always like to read all I can about his ancestors.

yes, Timo is the first photo, the headshot. Timo vom Berrekasten was VA-2 (Vice Sieger) under Peter Messler. He would have been Sieger but I guess people could not find it in their heart to have a sable as the world's no. 1.

Judging by that photo, I would have to say Timo is what I think of as the ideal GSD head. Masculine without being over-done in any way. Not a lot of stop, great ears, and beautiful almond-shaped eyes. Now I know which dog to use as my example if there is another discussion on GSD heads.
