So what makes human suffering more important than animal suffering.ATleast humans can complain, and cry and other humans will step in and help. But who is gonna speak for animals.frankly this kind of attitude scares me.too many people have this type of attitude towards animals and i hear too often too many people say,oh it just a dog.that is wrong and this type of attitude totally sucks.

Your wrong held, no one is stepping in to help.    Your attitude leaves a lot to be desired as well.

Its sceeeerrrrrrry !

Why dont you hop on a plane to Scotland, then fly over to Darfur, then pay a visit to Brazil.

No whining, dont be scared, walk the walk if your gonna talk the talk.

Maybe you know someone who has a dog on a chain, who never gets attention and never gets off.

Maybe you know someone who gets drunk and beats his kids, kids who arent clean and never get a good meal.

Its all bad isnt it?

Thousands of people and yeah a few dogs.

And thats all I have to say about that

What i don't understand is that this is GSD Forum and some people take time out to visit here just to poo-poo a story. Also it seems that you aren't bored by it TwoMoons as you seem to keep coming here to read what has been said. If your not bothered by it why waste your time posting?

I would understand if this were the Jockey Club and we were posting about this man since it's not even related. Maybe this just shows some people don't have a passion for this breed.

Seems to me about 99% of the people in here would rather have a GSD than a person with your attitude.

Well Watcher,

I dont know about 99%  maybe you know something I dont.  Thats ok.     Maybe I'm wrong here.

Is this story fact?  Have the people involved done anything to remedy the problem?  What can I do several thousand miles away?     People post these stories and youtube links,  the passion is overwelming.    I am a passionate person about many things.    Am I no longer allowed to post ?    Do you have anything in mind that would remedy this problem?

You seem to have some kind of ties to this story.  What can you do?

I only feel that if your gonna post news stories to stir up the movement , humans deserve a look as well as these dogs.

Tell me what are you going to do about this EVIL man?     And do you turn a blind eye to the rest of mans problems?

What should our debate be about you and I ?

I may agree or not, Two Moons, but I’d fight for your right to express honest opinion. I loathe it when animals placed in our care are mistreated (and taken some directly to task over it). Just like to see a bit more independent substantiation in this instance. Who doesn’t believe that newspapers’ are apt to boost circulation by concocting emotive, ‘human interest’ tales? A twist here, an omission there! Raising GSDs or any other dog for ‘fur trade’ or the pot horrifies me in itself, but, I’d feel pretty idiotic making a big to-do here and then finding there’s little in it! (by the way, I hear that dog-fighting is UK’s fastest growing sport – not much said about that!)

Thank you speaknow.

I agree with everything you say in your post.    And as you say when its in your power you do take action.  I have too.

My real belief is this post was just intended to upset everyone as is the recent youtube post of uglydog.    I know this goes on, abuse, and I believe responcible people do something about it where they can.

I also think individuals like to yank chains and stir up arguements.

Anyway, thanks.

FFS - what is the matter with you people????

Our wonderful breed is being killed and skinned in a (so-called!) civilised country by some low life and you're all bitching amongst each other about whether we should have posted about it and where things are better or worse elsewhere or with other species?????

Is this scenario not bad enough in its own right?? Are we GSD enthusiasts or not?????

This situation is appalling.  It makes me feel sick to my very stomach.  This man may have appeared to have been a breed enthusiast in the past, but now he is, well, he is sub-human!!  No-one who has a consience would do this!!

I call every one of you, email, write, call the people who have the authority to influence this matter immediately!!!

Even if you think this may not be entirely true - should you take the chance?? I think not.

Andrew Debidin

Case 1. - On 28/8/96 contractors were bulldozing the back garden of Andrew Debidin (42) of Grazeley Road, Three Mile Cross, Berkshire when they came across about a dozen oil drums crammed full with the remains of animals. Some of the drums are believed to have contained just the entrails of dogs. It also appeared many of the dogs had been skinned. A wagon driver who took the drums to a landfill site said "As they were being dumped, one burst open and splattered all over the place. There were some whole dogs and bits of others. It was absolutely disgusting. I never want to see anything like that again". The neighbours had complained for over five years about the din and smell caused by dozens of German Shepherds he kept. Eventually after flouting several noise abatement orders from Wokingham District Council, he was banned from keeping dogs.

Case 2. - On 3/1/97 Debidin now of Chesterfield Road, Shuttlewood, Bolsover, Chesterfield, Derbyshire appeared before Reading Crown Court. At a previous hearing he admitted misleading buyers of his puppies by claiming they were registered with the Kennel Club - even though they had already banned him. Berkshires Trading Standards department highlighted four cases where owners had paid several hundred pounds for a pup after being assured that they had the official documentation. However, they later discovered the pups were not registered because of his existing ban. Debidin admitted one charge of giving a false trade description and three charges of making a false statement. He also asked for two similar offences during a two-and-a-half month period last year to be taken into consideration. He was given a conditional discharge.

Case 3. - Yet again he appeared before Reading Crown Court. On 6/1/97 he was convicted of assault and received a 12 month suspended sentence. This was for an incident in which he attacked two people with a machete while walking his dogs on university land in 1995. Debidin now living in Inverness, Scotland had been ordered to do 100 hours community service but the sentence was revoked after he failed to do any of the work.

A Dog breeder ordered by a sheriff to get rid of his 27 German shepherds is to appeal the decision.

Andrew Debidin, 51, was found guilty of breaking a court order to keep his dogs under control at Inverness Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

I guess it's all just sensationalized media.
