ProudShepherdPoppa, the person who owns that poster is Julia (DrakeGSD) from the "Black" Board.

TY BFTCC I will ask her if I can "borrow" parts of it.

policemom, I really don't think that anyone is saying that a family pet is more important than any human life, let alone the life of a LEO.  But let's keep things in perspective.  I do not see how it could be construed that Max was threatening this deputy's life in any way.  The deputy was also not chasing anyone, he was serving a bench warrant.

PO, legally serving a warrant, dog bites officer, gets shot. Story gets picked up by a small handful of people who need drama in their life and have a computer. PO cleared in dept investigation. Cries of corruption. No one cares. Contacts media, they won't waste time on such an obvious farce. Need to move on.

PSP I seem to be one of the few keeping it in perspective.  I was not there and have no call to make one way or another.  Nor have I made any statements other than bringing up some questions for people to think about.  I feel sorry for everyone involved in this tragedy.  I'm not jumping on any bandwagon or stepping up on any soapbox to preach either.  My ONLY point is that I believe a human life is more important than an animals life.

policemom,  I don't think that any one here would argue that point with you.

And by the way well said,  You have kept it in perspective,  I can appreciate that !

Sorry guys but I think this should be brought forward, still not knowing what has happened, know doubt they wont want us too. Hoping the family is doing better, and is anyone taking money for legal action on the officer involved, I'd like to put in for that. It's not just about Max, It's about all our dogs, it could have been anyone of us, (wrong adress) cops have been known for that. So what is happening. How is the family and has anyone come up with an idea to let all dog owners get involved. I am in Australia, a long way from you. LETS NOT FORGET MAX....

Md. police raid the wrong apartment, kick resident in groin before realizing their mistake.
