Bill, remember that hot, steamy shower of yours? Remember how you said it felt? Use it and let's UNITE... because we will need to, if this is EVER going to get off the ground.
No more bickering amongst ourselves... for the moment!

Bill (patrick) , Take note of the lines I have highlighted, take particular note of those I put into bold print. You dont consider the remarks you made below personal, condecending or sexist? As for the easier target , your friend David felt I had NAILED IT, but I didnt notice you having a go at him for agreeing with my sentiments.
Sue, This is a free vote, and you will have to accept that people will abstain, vote the way you least expect
and make people feel uncomfortable and guilty if it doesn't go the way you want. I hope you dont feel the need to sit under the Guilitine doing you're knitting looking in the basket to see who falls.
As for the easier target , your friend David felt I had NAILED IT, but I didnt notice you having a go at him for agreeing with my sentiments. With regard to PP (and no need for the F word) if that particular item has passed you by un-noticed then I reckon the breed is doomed.

As I said I know there are those who genuinely 'Dont Know' and I can more than relate to that, up to 5mths ago I myself would have been voting NO. So I can relate to a transision process as well as to peoples right to have a differing opinion to myself. Despite what has been suggested here by others I value the opinion of those who vote NO as much as those who vote YES, I even value the opinion of those who are still undecided. What I dont value is those that shrink away from expressing any opinion whatsoever, I have never liked, accepted or respected Apathy and to old to start now. So rest assured Liz, I wont be changing anytime soon.
Bill, glad you enjoyed your shower but next time can you please chose to have it with somebody else!! I am now going for a long soak in the bath.

Regards

APATHY is the greatest enemy of PROGRESS.

I will follow this dialogue for a little longer in the hope that someone with real knowledge, integrity and courage will pick up the ball and run with it. As for me, I am going to continue to enjoy the pleasure of my Bax v Luisenstrasse son and enjoy the breed closer to home which is outside the UK and nearer to the breed's homeland.

I did ask twice if anyone had the number of Affixes registered with the K.C. for our breed. I think this an important statistic if and when someone gets to negotiate with the K.C. with the results of the ballot. So I checked. There are 3135 Shepherd/ Alsatian Affixes registered over the last 30 years, The K.C. did not have the information of how many had lapsed/ not renewed to date. Say if 2/3 2000 Affixes have ceased that still leaves approx 1000 live Affixes. We have had 40 votes todate 38 for 2 against the split. If we put these kind of numbers to the K.C. we would not be negotiating from a position of strength. Anyone like to comment! It's possible plan B may be needed. Bill Owen.
