Now this is getting interesting. Aside from having one of the ultimate escape artists, I also have a female that does what Kalibeck has said. When tested on sheep, she had strong instincts, and when she was guarding the border, if the sheep came out of a group and pressured the border, she would stand up on her hind legs facing the sheep and flail her front legs in the air toward the sheep as if trying to "push" them back. Everyone watching just cracked up in hoots of laughter. The other day my hubby said he came out on the patio and she was just sitting there, not like a dog, but like a bear, up on her rump with her front legs up in the air, sort of limp-wristed in front of her. I also have a female Shih-Tzu who, by the way, always peepees with both of her back legs off the ground, in a handstand. It's so cute.

ROFL.....I'd love to see this GSD standing on her rear legs waving her feet at those sheep. Everyone must have been in stitches. Poor Blitz seesm so ordinary now. His only trick is stuffing his mouth full of toys. And here I thought he was special LOL.

Don't judge all show line dogs by the one that can't jump. I've trained/titled plenty of them and the ALL jumped the hurdle just fine. I'd look for something ELSE, like a strained muscle or cruciate (sp?) ligament. Shelley

Blitzen-If I knew when she was going to do it I would definately tape it..I think she sees or hears deer going up the hill opposite our house...but the look on her face is priceless, too...the most intense stare! And when our neighbors cat is on the prowl, she has to be on top of that, too...that's what she 'jumped the porch' for...LOL, jo

Kalibeck and Wanderer, you really should try to get these dogs on videos and post them to the net for everyone to enjoy.
