Prednisone reduces pain.
What was the diagnosis of why prednisone n what are you now treating her for.
What did hip joints look like if vet did X-rays
The inflammation is evidentially in joint or ligaments if all of a sudden prednisone reduced pain
Concerned as what are you treating?vets diagnosis was?
thanks for getting back to us. Finding the real problem and solving the cause is important to all of us.

What did the vet say about myasthenia gravis or tendon issues from the Oflox?

dndjas ... keep screwing around with the veterinarian and your dog will die. The veterinarian is treating the symptoms and hasn't got a clue. I am not going to bother with you any more as you are buying in to the usual BS from a veterinarian industry and that is test, test, test. A steroid is "perhaps" reducing inflamation but what is causing the inflamation. Good luck!! You are going to learn a hard lesson the hard way!! It costs far less to use Fenbendazole which gets a broad range of internal parasites, giardia, and the unknown pests that veterinarians have not even "discovered" yet rather than piss away $150 on tests for these parasites and then face the reality that the testsa re inconclusive or often wrong. But that is how so called "modern" medicine works .. instead of eleminating the obvious and inexpensive likely causes first with a quick and harmless treatment .. lets spend $1000 on less than conclusive tests which are open to interpretation.

Steroids are band aids that mask diseases, they cure nothing.

Blitzen and Silver are right.
Cheuui was put on prednisone until the vet could wait out the IS it Panno or not and when vet did the xrays of whole dog the HD and ED and other was then seen, after a period of shut down of activity
No cure fo the limping as it was ED of Left elbow
Maybe I need to quit reading this as it hurts like hell to not be ab le to get to the problem quick

Whats your favorite Senior Dog diet; supplements and dog foods that you prefer for your German Shepperd. Do you use any supplements or vitamins along with that diet? get those tested from a veteran and ask for his suggestions on how to handle the weakness with in her .
