'PS…your incorrect spelling of connoisseur and also the assumption that I have no experience in breeding shows me enough about your credibility and more than likely knowledge and appreciation of true working dogs and why you believe and repeat the statements you’ve made.'
Excuse me, but I didn't assume anything about you, except that you could read, that you had common sense. As far as 'pet' dogs, what I said about them is my opinion, not what I believe is the norm for 'pet' dogs. You are making incorrect assumptions about me because I misspelled a word and your incorrect assumption that I was making assumptions about you. I actually complemented you and agreed with you on your points.....guess i should have stopped at that as any other opinions not welcome. Oh well....such is the virtual reality of conversing on a forum. :-)

And again...what place did the FCI champion finish at the WUSV?
Personal I think its very impressive in 2 weeks
place 7 @ WUSV A 89 B 97 C 96 (we don,t know what was happening with the tracking)
Place 1 @ the FCI all breeds A 97 B 94 C99
Most of the handlers focus only one of this high level competitions

I'll throw in the towel and concede: There is no other perspective and no one besides arrogant hot-heads in their late 20's and early 30's knows anything about a dog, so if someone doesn't fit that category, regardless of any success they've achieved with either campaigned dogs or bred dogs, it doesn't count. Whew. I think I finally figured it out.
Don't watch videos, bore me out of my mind, don't like to go to trials, don't like to sit and badmouth people out of jealousy and pettiness, and you won't catch me in that crowd unless one of my own is competing that day.
Bavarian wagon, you sound JUST like someone else who used to post here.

Haha, Jen, ibettt I know who you mean...or is it meen?

It is absolutely very impressive to do what that dog did in just a couple of weeks. My point is that the dog still came in 7th, with 6 dogs ahead of him who didn't compete at the FCI, and of course we need to take judging and conditions of the trial into consideration, but it is not unfair to assume that at least some of those 6 GSD that finished ahead of him at the WUSV could've finished in the top ten at the FCI if they were to have gone there as well. I have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for what that dog and his handler accomplished at two of the highest level trials we have in the world. I was just stating how there are other German Shepherds out there that would compete with Malinois on that level. Someone posted about how Germany’s team was made up of everything but GSD…there is probably a reason for that. More than likely winning the WUSV or the BSP is much more important for those folks and so they chose to do that instead of FCI. That is also the feeling I get from how the WUSV is looked at by GSD people in the United States. Going to the WUSV is much more highly regarded than the FCI.
I can assure you that I haven't posted on here before. Would love to know who (feel free to PM me) so that I can read some of the posts.

AWMA Nationals last month...like 20 IPOIII dogs with a handful pulling bringing the actual number down.
USCA National this month, with another organization also hosting a national a week ago, already has 60 entries.
SV/USCA also pays for people to go to world championships. FCI does not.
To say malinois are dominating the sport is just incorrect. It's still handler based and driven by what those handlers choose to do. You bring up the 2014 FCI championship, the winner of that championship is now trialing a GSD, and won the working dog championship with it. I don't believe he even has a malinois for himself to trial. All personal preference and just depends on what the highest level handler decides to do with the dog.
I respect both breeds in regards to their working ability. The top examples of the breed, along with their handlers/trainers, are more than capable of winning any championship they decide to go to. There is very little separating the breeds at that level. Usually just comes down to the ability of the trainer and the dog on that day performing without issues.

@ the FCI all breeds we see today 2 breeds who are excel no more rottweilers, bouviers, dobermann
riesenschnautzers its a rare find to see this breeds for any reason
If I look to the championships NBG all breeds in Holland there are also more handlers with malinois than GSD
for any reason
@ Bavarian I agree most of this top level IPO handlers will bring both breeds to the top but if I not focus
only to the IPO, but also I look to KNPV,Ringsport,PSA what breed is more dominant and excel ?
I,m pretty sure it has to with the breed not only a good handler.
Worldwide the GSD is for decenia the most popular working breed in the market with much more litters
than the malinois and other breeds
so there is also more choise to select..
