I would have to disagree about VK4, because he continuously go around preaching atheism on this forum; he is convinced that his purpose in life to convince people that there is no purpose in life…do you see inconsistency there? And indeed he has (1 Peter 3:15) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear. It is not our job my dear Mike to open people’s hearts that is Holy Spirit priority but it is our job to close there mouth; that’s what we do…

to re-focus the question, how much of what jesus said as written in scripture was said directly to the gospel writers by jesus face to face.
