I personally think that it is hard to be believably impassioned  when you read some ones else's crap. You do not need to read what you believe in. And  tears? They do not prove anything. Sophia Loren and many other actors and politicians can generate tears at will to fool masses.  The Cuban guy was truly and from bottom of the heart impassioned and believable.  

I am not going to get into all of this but please do not forget that it was the republican party and the great GWB who ran this country into near collapse. A few of the self proclaimed geniuses of the forum seem to have a hard time remembering it was also GWB who campaigned for smaller government and then expanded government at break neck speed. And it was also the great republican GWB who signed a piece of legislation taking away more rights than Obama ever will. You people seem to forget all of that and more. I will sit here and read your non-sense and shake my head thinking how soon people forget.  And Micaho talk about children what about your hero going after Iraq because of his delusions that it was somehow Iraqis fault that daddy lost the election to Clinton. 100,000s killed and billions and billions spent fighting an illegal war.

As far as Joanro to use the Nazi and Jews as an example is plain disgusting but does not surprise me in the least.

I don't appreciate being called I liar. I stand by MY STATEMENT.... I will ELABORATE. I did not believe he used a teleprompter at the time I was watching him LIVE on the TV.  Then I said, BUT EVEN if he did... meaning.....if it can be proven otherwise that a teleprompter was used..... IT WOULD NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO ME.... BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN THE CONTENT AND THE EMOTIONS.

Dear Blitzen I as most ( legal) emigrants here are, am more American then many will ever be. I am not American because I was begotten on the back seat of 1957 Chevy, but I am American by choice. I had to fight for my freedom, risking limb and life,  to come here and be one. You have no idea..... I educated myself about what made this country great. Maybe you should do so too. I love this country  what it stands for and I am willing to fight and die for it in an instant,...I am talking about as far as the founding father's believes  goes. Not only Jewish people were send to and died in concentration camps, but also people who fought Nazis. One of them was my grandfather. He died in Mauthausen concentration camp 15 days before the end of the war..  So don't you dare to tell me who would be offended .  And I am by no means insulted by joanro's statements. Sorry, Blitzen, I don't find facts to be offensive.  Tragic, yes, but not offensive.  The Jewish people themselves encourage us to "Never Forget," so that persecution and loss of freedom will not be repeated.  I agree with Joanro that we should learn lessons from history, not pretend it didn't happen.  Her comments weren't intended to be funny. 

How do you know no one on this forum has lost a family member to gun violence?  If you lost someone because of a drunk driver, would you support prohibition?   Which recent incident of gun violence would have been prevented by the restrictions of the proposed Federal gun law?  Which perpetrator would have failed a background check at a gun show?  Which perpetrator bought their gun at a gun show?  Can you give me some convincing facts?  Or are people just afraid of guns?
