... then WHY do you insist on doing so, to everyone on here, at length and with all those shouty
fonts and colours, so frequently 'taking over' others' threads etc ??????????????????????

Because he wants to own souls, he's not content in his own misery and torture.

I never knew Shtal was a heathen before all his cacaphony-like bleatings on the OT. Must have seen the light when he had that out-of-body experience. Serendipity baby!

Well Bee I know this. Remember before we had different sections and especially this OT section that people would post a lot of stuff and just put OT on it? Well when there were religious topics he never ever got involved in them. As I said he tried to talk about his oversized dog he bred and that didn't work. I know I am a heathen in his eyes and an athiest which shows how little he knows about me. Actually other than one or two things about his oversized dog I don't remember him ever saying anything, which is why I said what I did about I liked him better when he was a heathen. And then one day he must have gotten religion because he hasn't shutup since he started quoting and arguing and preaching. And when all this started I never said anything but I did wonder how he became a preacher so fast and I also thought man he must be doing nothing but reading the Bible.
And Travels what you said about his own misery and torture--I believe he must be a very lonely person. I have a very good friend--at least 21 yrs now-who is what I consider a true Christian. She is very serious about her faith and prayer etc. Now do you think a "heathen" like me would be friends with someone with beliefs that strong if she and I spent our little time together with her preaching and quoting scriptures to me? Absolutely not. I respect her and her beliefs and things she talks about and I believe there is a fine line between respecting someone's beliefs and getting hammered with them every time you see them. Said that to say this--if everytime I saw someone I knew this would be the outcome, I would definately avoid them and also refuse to answer the door or any phone calls with their name and/or # on my caller id.............So maybe that is the place he is in and he's run out of places to preach on any day other than Sunday or Saturday depending on what religion he is. And WE All got elected.
And as far as not reading his threads and I can choose to do so--this is true but there are other people who post on them that I like to see what they said at that time.......

If we don't want to get 'hammered at', we can choose to avoid that page / subject with Shtal's name on it. No one
has to join in if they don't want to.
However, what actually happens too often is someone else posts a topic, we get into it and are having an interesting
discussion - then wham, bang, here comes Mr Shouty - and half the time when you struggle through the column
inches he's trying to say something completely (or at least mostly) unrelated to the thread. By which time I for one
have lost track of where the rest of us were going with our debate. This is extremely irritating; and I started off
reading them 'cos I gave him the benefit of the doubt that there might be something relevant tucked in there
somewhere ... but there's usually not. The overall effect is that other people get sidetracked into either arguing
with him, or being rude to him (tempting, I know) and it all detracts ...
I think its an attempt at "control" thing. If he just wanted to interject a relevant point, but relate that back to religion.
he could do as others do, and steer us towards the Chapter and Verse, which we can then read for ourselves if we wish
and are interested enough. But he won't do that - 'cos then he'd have to let us look it up, maybe in an edition of the
Bible HE hasn't approved of the translation in ...
