Uh, GSDGuy how do you suppose one leg could be stretched and the other leg placed correctly?

by Ibrahim on 24 June 2012 - 19:06

The free gating in the working classes is also a good way to judge a dog's anatomy.

Also most of faults in anatomy will be apparent through the gait such as low withers, roach, steep croup etc etc. Well sad Blitzen.

Gustav, that dog has amazing strong head, a notable stop that gives hardness to his expression, who is he?

Ibrahim

by Gustav on 24 June 2012 - 19:06

Ibrahim, somebody said post  WL dog in a stance, and I figured I would comply. His name is Bravo and he is owned by a gentleman in Kentucky.

by Ibrahim on 24 June 2012 - 20:06

I see, he has a very nice topline and chest in addition to that extra gorgeous head, also nice rich pigment.
Gustav (I know you might not share with me the rest of what I'll say, but I know you won't mind me saying it anyway), if he just had a better fore assembly (and I know that since you're keeping a picture of him, he is a good true worker), then he would be the perfect GSD I long for.

Ibrahim, you know I understand how you view dogs....its all good. Yes, I would say he is a pretty fair worker, he won the IPO 1 AWDF Nationals at 23 months old. I also think he has a SG-1 at Regionals conformation show in 12 to 18 month class. Doesn't really make a difference, I think he is a nice dog, and has a nice stack. I didn't put him up here to derail opening topic, just wanted to comply with wishes of one poster who requested a WL in stack. TY

by Blitzen on 24 June 2012 - 21:06

Gustav, do you have a photo of him taken straight on from the side?

Red Sable

by Red Sable on 24 June 2012 - 21:06

That's ok Debby, we disagree on quite a bit. :0

I could post many pics of dogs that are stacked unnaturally, but then people would cry I'm picking on the poor dog.  It is a no win situation on here.

If what you say is true, and they are standing naturally, then there are some horridly conformed dogs winning in the show ring.

Gustav, gorgeous dog, standing naturally with very good conformation IMO.
