VM - 2-4 litters per year. Every single dog I breed is TITLED, hip rated, breed surveyed and/or conformation rated. I raise and train and title my own-bred dogs. In case you can't figure it out - that's not a puppy mill. It's a quality top breeding program producing quality top dogs, one of a very very few in this country who walk the walk instead of just talking about it or making excuses. People who are jealous or who can't cut the mustard will bash and trash, I'm used to it.
As for raw-feeding - raw-feeders will continue to make claims that their dogs are healthier, live longer, have better coats, more energy and stamina, live longer, have less vet bills, easier whelping, faster recovery, bigger healthier puppies - and it simply is not true. IS NOT TRUE. Feeding a balanced diet whether it's raw or kibble to genetically healthy dogs is the key to healthy dogs, PERIOD. My kibble-fed dogs are proof of it, as are every other healthy kibble-fed dog on the planet.
I have seen far more serious health problems caused by diet, in raw-fed dogs and puppies, than I've ever seen in kibble-fed dogs. So have the vets, just ask them.
AND VM - I do rescue and have done so for 20+ years. I have rescued, rehabbed, retrained and rehomed hundreds (yes, hundreds) of dogs and will continue to do so as long as I have the ability to do so.

No, Milly, it's a puppy mill. You have very few if any actual titled PROGENY. Not asking about the parents. So sorry you don't know the diff between improving the breed and making a living.
Oh and Milly? kibble feeders like you make the same stupid, unsubstantiated claims. What now?

My dogs are 100% healthy as are MOST of the dogs I know - and being in the dog business for 25 years I have seen a hell of a lot of dogs. The vast majority on kibble, some on good kibble, some on bad kibble. Healthy dogs are healthy dogs. Raw-fed or kibble - if the dog is healthy and eating a diet that is balanced for it, it will not have problems.
the claims made by raw-feeders are WAY out in the stratusphere of ridiculous with no basis of proof or legitimate testing to uphold their stupid claims that feeding raw is "better".
And VM - plenty of my dogs are titled. Including many that I have titled myself. How many of yours are? How many dogs of your own breeding are titled, how many have you titled? None?
LOL people who bash those that are better than them are just pitiful wannabes.

Molly it is obvious you are passionate ..how about starting a new thread on "Raw vs Dog Food"?
And those of us who saw the same argument over and over again and participated in it, and fought over it, and are finally tired of it can just ignore it?....

Thanks LadyFrost,
I myself was a bit nervous before the girls whelped their litters cause I have fed kibble throughout
everyones pregnancies, I thought the pups were going to be lacking in size, or for that matter, have something missing on them!
I am just relieved that everyone did come out safe & sound, that's all I ever hope to happen.
Also, colors or males or females are my least concern, but are always fun to take note of.
A post about Raw vs Kibble sounds like a swell idea!!!

I already said how many of mine were. Too bad you can't read. But that's ok, you think you do such a good job of slamming people. Ignatz.

I have fed kibble for years (as many have) and my dogs look great also. I have trained and currently train with people that have both fed raw and kibble. Honestly the dogs that I have seen so far that are fed kibble look healthier to me than the ones fed raw. I am not saying that kibble is better than raw or vise versa. As it has been stated on here already. A dog that is genetically healthy will thrive on a good quality diet. Whether that be kibble or raw. Since the goal in breeding should be to IMPROVE the breed with the next litter produced, a dog that is not genetically healthy should not be bred in the first place.
My mom had a lab that lived to be 18 years old. He was fed Sturdy kibble for part of his life and the rest was on Iams. He would go for 2 mile runs with my mom in her electric wheelchair. He did that until a week before he died. He was a very healthy dog, and only saw the vet for routine stuff...such as shots and health exams.
I looked in the current USA magazine that just came out and here is what I found... 5 Eichenluft dogs got a BH, 1 SchH1 and 2 got conformation ratings. The one dog from Jackies breedings that is titled trialed to repeated the SchH3 to qualify for the Nationals. Which he did qualify. I saw the performance where he qualified for the Nationals... it was a good performance. Since Molly has been breeding and trialing working dogs for 15 or 16 years ( dont remember what she said and am to lazy to go back and look...lol) there are more of her dogs out there that are titled. Most her clientel are people looking for high level working dogs. I am not saying one breeding program is better than the other, just saying how I see things.
Mirasmom
Congrats again on both the litters. The moms look great... nice shinny coats and healthy and happy looking. Cant wait to see more pictures as the pups grow. You have two awesome looking litters. You obviously fed a balanced diet.

Kibble or RAW I think depends on the dog and the owner's knowledge. Some do well on kibble, others don't. An improper RAW diet is just as bad as feeding garbage.
Jyl, 60 litters of pups over the years versus 2 litters. I would expect Molly to have many more USA titled progeny out there just based on sheer numbers. Your figures also only point out those schutzhund titles and BH awards. What about any dogs that may have titled in other venues such as PSA, SDA or earned through GSDCA-WDA?. Not exactly comparing apples to apples in my book. Just pointing that little fact out. Can this please not turn into a breeder comparison thread?
Mirasmom, congrats on your litters. They look great!

I'm still in shock that anyone even entertains the idea that kibble is better than raw.
