And what about people who cannot afford to feed Raw to there dogs, Where you live you may be able to afford it or you may be a wealthy person
What about other countries including where i live that if you buy a Chicken Breast just for yourself it will cost you 14 USA dollars i know i bought two today, Chicken Legs you will pay 14 Dollars for 8 pieces
Beef you pay 11 dollars for 1lb weight and it is not the best cut at that, and so forth if you buy a 4 oz bit of Salmon it will cost you about 8 USA dollars, and one lb of Cod about 20 USA Dollars
How the hell can anyone feed Dogs Raw paying those prices and you cannot go to any store over here and buy Chicken Backs or necks or anything else like it, It is just not viable this side of Europe,
Yet the wise Guys keep pushing Raw
It seems the USA is a Land of plenty and cheap at that, good luck to you who can feed Raw but it is not always possible to do what we want too, All this is Old Hat

steve, where there's a will, there's a way. there are plenty of ways to get meat for free or next to nothing. if you can't buy it in the store, that doesn't mean you can't get it...you just have to get crafty, do some research, and put more foot work in.
do you think every ounce of every steer that is butchered is sold for human consumption? where do you think all the chicken backs and necks go? you can go directly to the source, before all the "extras" (which are perfectly fine for dogs to eat) are sent to the renderer, or wherever else they are wasted. people think everything is expendable; we cut the porterhouse right off the cow, and throw the rest away.
i'm not sure where you live, but people here can make friends with those who hunt, they can post flyers around the neighborhood and online that they are willing to take others' "tainted" and freezer burned meat, they can make friends with butchers and others in the meat business and source out necks, backs, trim, and organs that are discarded. rather than buy their dogs a fancy new bowl, collar, or bed, they can opt for a big fat raw liver that's packed full of necessary nutrients, that can supplement meals for the next month.
i don't buy salmon for my dogs, but i'll ask the fish guy what he does with the scrap when he's done cutting filets. i lived in rome for several months, without a dog at that time. i went to the butcher every time i needed a piece of chicken...do you think he would refuse me if i had offered him a few cents for the bones and scraps he throws away and loses money on?
this has nothing to do with wise guys pushing raw, there's a bigger picture out there. this has to do with raising awareness, reducing waste, utilizing what we have, and improving health. it's a big chain of events, and it's all linked.

i like how those of you who get annoyed rely on name calling, lol. there was nothing smart ass about my answers, nor stupid about my reply.
"you got it taped" ...not sure what that means
aside from YOUR "smug" response, i can't exactly help you if you don't tell me where you live, and resort to name calling.
might i suggest you go back to sleep and wake up on the other side of the bed, and then we can try this again?

Did Steve forget to take his medicine again? Poor Steve. OK Everyone. Let's give Steve a group hug!
Feel better Steve? I don't know if Steve told everyone this but our friend Steve (don't be shy Steve) just bought a huge piece of land. He is going to build his own cemetery due to the fact that he wants to kill everybody!

Rottguy
This Steve takes no medicine of any kind and does not need too. and rottguy, you are not my friend or friends with anyone on this Forum that i doubt very much
Plus seeing that you think you know me so well but you do not so but it looks like another Jerk has entered the forum
You have been on here 7 days from Joining,
You write a slagging off post to me of 3 lines trying to be clever and act like a big man, But you have to EDIT those 3 LINES 3 TIMES
That alone shows how much you lack any brain power in your head, Go and play with the Boys Club you are not in the mens league Yet

why all the trash talk steve? i wasn't nasty to you...why do you feel the need to make nasty comments to me?
if your 60 years of dog husbandry is perfect and you are an expert on the subject and have nothing left to learn, why were you going around for months looking for a raw source? you're just another one that got annoyed about your own inability or inadequacy, and feel it's your duty now to call everyone with an opposing view a jerk. take a look in the mirror before you start calling people names.
put me in my place? LOL

His screen name says it all, Steve. He thinks he has to have a big, tough, macho dog to make up for his lack of manhood.
I'll bet it wears a spiked colllar, and he goes strutting down the street with it, and laughs when it lunges at people passing by!
Get a life, loser! You don't know who you are dealing with! You are ctiticizing and making fun of people who have been working with dogs longer than you've been alive (Steve and Hexe)! And most of them have more brains in their little toe than you have in your entire head!
