I agree.
Dobermannman my name is Mark Davis so now prove that is my real name or not. Bet you can't. I don't want to be getting anonymous people calling my house at all hours because they were banned from this site. And if you don't think it would not happen you obviously haven't really noticed some of the stuff that happens here.
Until we can verify identities which we are not going to do, it is a moot point.

Most all of us that have been here for any number of years are all known by our real names in many venues and many of the members all know each other from the clubs we belonged to , to our pups and to the friendships we have made.
I just am not gonna use my real name in the public forum as most of all have respect to not give some unknown person just emailing and saying give me YR phone number.. NOT GOOD.
SO MOST as far as I know , all are very well aware of who each other are..I am not anoymous and can prove who I am, but in todays internet world, not good to just go announcing it in big print nor do I care to use my real name /
If one doesn't want to be known they won't ,that is their choice. It is obvious when someone joins last night only to bash someone or offer up some KItchEN SOUP, they are up to no good. This is where admins. will be used and do their checking or watch .

I've only had one "stalker" who got my cell number and called 18 X in a row and send piictures of gang bangers flashing "signs". I guess I was supposed to feel scared? No one ever showed up, which disappointed my
Late American Bull dog no end ;-) I've had a couple of wackadoodles I had to block their email address but that was more nuisance then threat.
People that make threats (especially from behind a computer screen) are seldom the ones you have to worry about. It's the quiet ones with the strange look in their eye that get my attention :-)
IMO boards and forums that require you to sign with a real name (even if it's not 100% fool proof) tend to have less trolls, BS and melodrama.

Say it isn't so.

GSD, I agree with you, too. I am always cautioned about being "out there" online but I have really never had any issues due to it. Most of the internet freaks are fairly harmless, or at least such cowards that they are all talk and nothing to worry about. The truly dangerous ones aren't that dumb as to stir trouble online, most of the time.
