Well, here it is. "Caylee's Law"

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/07/08/us-crime-anthony-idUSTRE7620Y720110708

"Republican lawmakers Rep. Jose Diaz of Miami and Scott Plakon of Longwood, on Thursday filed the measure dubbed "Caylee's Law" that makes it a felony for parents or caregivers who fail to verify the whereabouts and safety of a child up to 12 years of age within 48 hours. The law also requires that a child's death be reported within two hours. "

I'm sorry that law wasn't in place for Caylee, however, it may help some other child.  Sad that they'd have to make a law like that in the first place, what a world.

It is a lovely tribute to Caylee. Makes it even more impossible for me to believe "George did it". It was Casey who "lost" her daughter and failed to report it. Obviously, Caylee's law is needed for other deficient mom's to understand they don't have the right to "disappear a child".

That's cold and irrelevant! Boo! Ninja! laugh Might as well never talk if we have to weigh one death over another. Start an Afghan thread...instead!

Ninja, I do think of those lives sacrificed in Afghanistan and Iraq, but beetree is right, this thread is about another topic.

Beetree, it's a shot at the media. That simple.

Uhmmm.... I guess, I missed that one, Ninja.

Any way, do you think Casey's defense could have used a different scapegoat than George if her life was not on the line? They could only have used him, to make her story fit what already happened, is the way I see it.

Bee, the guy in the cartoon has a media badge on. LOL

As far as the defense, unfortunetly they get paid to do a job. That is to create doubt. Evidently nothing is off-limits in their pursuit of winning. It's not a perfect world. I'll bet this goes on more than you would think, it's just that this event had so much coverage most people are aware of the problems that accompanied this trial.

Travesty of justice IMO. Total shame. What a beautiful innocent looking child, gone.
