for believing Christians : I'll start by a question ? Do you believe GOD states  what He means AND and what He means [ intends to be true] He states ??  If so .. then consider : In the new worls to come " the lion shall lay next to the lamb" .... I am no theologian  and no one of great knowledge to proclaim Biblical  interpretation .. I just  see what it written in verse .. So lions and lambs are animals - yes?? .. in the new world , yes ?....  given that GOD states that as a fact  .. Then .. Hopefully without error .. I must conclude..  that dogs /cats will be there with us in the new world / eternity too  .. for does it seem to reason .. God would have lions and lambs in HIS Kingdom , yet leave out the most precious of animals that have served mankind , acted as out loving companions , our guardians ., almost since the beginining of out time on earth ??  Well ... personally,  i will choose to believe God Reveals ,  Means and Keeps ALL  his words !!

ALPHAPUP,

You are making good point, but we cant' play guessing game what animals wil be their and what animals won't.

And don't forget that their is no transportation available to take physical earth animals with you.

Spirit will remain spirit and flesh will remain flesh.
Bible: The Book of Job 1:21
And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither:
