Are you refering to me?  My comment goes both ways.  I can't say "zOMG that dog has amazing pigment!!1" based on ONE picture.  I see a black and red dog, photographed in the snow.  The dog may only be half as rich as the photo shows *without* any photoshopping or dying.  You can tweak the camera 10 ways and get 10 very different images, intentionally or not.  I can't get all excited over the dog based on one photo, nor would I claim it's fake.  I just see a picture of a black and red showline dog.

Well, I am FAR from excited, and like I said, I looked at more than ONE picture of the dog.

I completely understand how lighting can change the colour of a dog, as I have a dog and a camera and have seen it many times myself.

Red Sable my initial comment was not directed at you, I haven't read the entire thread and haven't read your post(s) about the dog.  I'm just saying *in general* I find it hard to either get really excited about a dog's color or think the photo or dog is altered based on one or a few photos.  For me personally if color is an important thing, I'd have to see it in person.

yellowrose, that's a nice looking dog but I personally don't like the fading by the tail and wither.
