Sable...

Maly....ratio... goes way up when they are working..

Kinda like Sugar Ray Leonard....

The good thing is that I am leting people know something
they may have assumed incorrectly.  And that is everything
changes when the fight begins.....I don't look at charts
because I know what to expect, ....but every now and than
you get a dog that does much better than what you expected.

Sable,,,,,,,,,maybe you should look at the IPO, VPG (no SchH comparison because that's for Shepherds only!!) results for competitions open to all breeds,,,,,FCI World Championship, DVG Weltmeisterschaft, AWDF National Championship, in recent years all dominated by Malinois.

Things that make you go hmmmmmm

Let's compare Manny Pacquiao to ANY heavyweight fighter.  Because Manny is smaller, is he inferior to the heavyweights???  No, champion in 8 different weight classes.  For his size, arguably the best pound for pound fighter of all time.  Because he's lightening fast and has impeccable technique, does that make him less of a fighter because he's not big and slow?

You could ask Pete Ranzany how hard SRL hits, he was knocked
out in the 3d and did not know where he was for 2 days. Or Marvin
Haggler, who was voted Lb per Lb the the best fighter, by
Ring magazine, before he fought Sugar Ray Leonard. And lost.

Here is GSD...that I have high hopes for...

Because he is in the right hands and at the right
time....He blew his C score but he is still very young IMO.

Lets see if he lives up to the hipe that is being heaped
apond him.....I hope very much he does, I will be rooting
for him next year....

He is Helmut Huber dog Hank....

Ok well now you guys are talking boxing and we have drifted from bite streangth to full, 3/4 and less grips. I want to say that the wolf bite of course was harder because he was cornered and bit out of defense. Dogs usually do bite harder when they are in fear, be it only a 1/4 grip or a fanger, but it's the hardest bite you will get from a dog.

My dog just enjoys biting period, be it a static bite on a decoy in a chair, or full on fight with lots of pressure, hits and threat. He has learned to seek the meat in the suit, I think he gets off on their pain. I think allot has to do with a dogs state of mind and if he really likes what he is doing or just doing it because we taught him to. If he has no decoy to bite he will gladly sit in the backyard with a bone or ball and chew it all day long.

4pack.... My BF took a bite from your dog.... I have first hand experience in dressing those wounds... He does seek flesh.

Oh did he? I totally forgot.

Anyway Max, you commented something about my dogs pedigree. Yes he has Orry, Tom and all kinds of nice dogs behind him.

I know lots of Malinois like this, so I don't think you can say it's a breed specific thing.  Actually this is what I would expect of any decent dog, regardless of breed.

the reasons a wolf can bite so hard is because they have a bigger skull and more place for muscle to attach to bone and create more bite force.  It's pretty much that simple.  It's more about anatomy in the end, because a dog with all heart and no anatomy can't bite that hard.

but considering most of our dogs are similiar in size, the state of arousal and motivation to bite comes into play.

but this really is pointless overall, it's like arguing if the dog is biting out of prey or defense and which one is stronger or more desireable.  Sorry, but if you're not wearing equipment, it still fucking hurts.
