No doubt. I would upgrade to windows 7 and dump Vista. None of my puters have Vista.

Moons,
If your computer is hooked to your telephone line, it
has a twisted pair connection. If there is any corrosion in the line
it can slow down , and also knock out your connection.
The page may still look as if it is loading but if you pick up the
phone and hear the Internet dialing tone, your OP is simply trying
to reconnect you to the Internet. The appearance will seem like
everything is running real slow because you don't
know about the disconnect. The other thing is cookies that have
been placed on your register have to shut down the Internet and
reconnect to be established. This is called in the IT world, the Pepsi
syndrome, or Twisted Sister.Please always check you connections
when your computer is slowing way down and not loading properly.
Some website with girl posing naked are notorious for loading your
register with cookies that slow down your computer. You may need a
Penicillin register shot to clean it up and get rid of those cookies if your
anti virus has been deactivated to stop them. The are not a virus but
a search program to see what kind of things you are interested in. If all
else fails these may be the cause... good luck.
