Sorry that you can't let this go, but, you are incorrect on this issue.
PETA does not support TNR programs, just as Moons doesn't.
The reason I pointed it out is that I find Moons' hipocrisy amusing.
He hates PETA and HSUS (rightfully so), but, he shares many of their views.
It's funny and I think he knows it, too. If he was bothered by it he would say so. It's just part of a conversation.
I find it similar to many people I encounter here living in Chicago.
They are unbelievably conservative in all of their views, gun owners, anti-abortion, against immigration and welfare, you name it, but, they are in a union so they vote Democratic because they have been told to for 80 years! Kind of stupid isn't it???
The other thing that I would like to point for those who call cats domestic.
They are domestic, but, they are also wild and the only animal on earth that is classified as both simultaneously.
GSD Travels,
Have you ladies contacted most of the rescues around there?
There has got be someone willing to take Heidi in.

Correct that PETA does not support TNR programs, but PETA also wants all domestic animals to cease to exist and be totally returned to the wild. Moons stated the opposite of PETA, that it was cruel to return the cats to the wild. So, tell me, how do you extrapolate from opposing TNR (which many people do) to you making the statement that he is a hypocrite and "shares many of their views"? Many? List them, please.
MANY people do not support TNR. Cats, neutered or not, have decimated wild bird populations, some to the point of extinction, and these populations are integral in insect control, to name just one area.
Release neutered cats back to the wild "fills a niche" so other cats won't move in? So where do the "other cats" go? They simply expand the area full of feral cats by going somewhere else, thereby killing more birds, killing more wild mice, shrews, voles, etc., which decreases the food supply for all the raptors and foxes. The naïveté of the TNR people amazes me sometimes. Yes, it's an unpleasant problem, but it's about more than the cats.

These birds are born to fly 13,000 to 16,000 feet above sea level and fly speeds of 45 plus. They cannot do this is a 64' x 100' cage. I think it's cruel for the bird of Freedom to be held as a slave for profits. JMO.
Don't get me started. lol

It looks like Heidi will be taken care of, we've had an offer from a board member.
You may now continue with the feral cat/PETA/eagle discussion. Thanks for keeping this bumped!
