All very commendable i'm sure, so why would you want to be dictated to by The KC who do not give a fig about anything you have proudly announced above. Sorry I for one cannot understand that at all.

Sheila... with all due respect, you make no mention of the KC or what they're trying to impose on our breed.  You make no mention of what happened to Carol Keen and Lagos!   Is it just Essex GSD Club that concerns you?  I think there's a bigger picture!

I have no real wish to offend anyone, but just as you're allowed to post your opinion of us... so we are of you or at least, your Club and it's decision to sign.

I am, however, sorry if my opinion upsets you.  I am also sorry that our breed cannot be united at such a vital time!

You can never win a fight shouting from the ringside . I have always maintained you HAVE to fight from the inside .That view still stands .I believe you have to work with the KC .Sure we may lose many battles but ultimately its winning the war that counts

shelia, excuse me but i have just read all my posts and no where have i mentioned any disrespect to any club.i have only mentioned the ones that i knew or thought had signed the kc undertaking.that is your  and your members choice.my choice as i said to you in a recent phone conversation was that if i was a member of a club I WOULD BE VOTING NO.imho.i think the kc has a hidden agenda which is detailed in my previous posts.why have you only singled me ,opa, misbeeb and jo public, when there are more influencial kennels also stating these same issues?????.please allow me and the others our opinions ,as i am yours.you know i,m normally a placid person, but i dont and never have liked to be dictated to and the kc seem to want to own this breed and make an example of.i know we have problems,as have other breeds, but are they being threatened and bullied into signing undertakings NO THEY ARE NOT.all i have been saying is WAKE UP TO THE FACT THAT THE KC IS NOT PLAYING BALL AND THEY ARE CHANGING THE GOAL POSTS IN EVERY STATEMENT ISSUED TO DATE.I,D HATE TO THINK THAT IN A FEW YEARS THEY,LL BE STATING THAT YOU HAVE TO BREED ALSATIANS INSTEAD OF GSDS..i would appreciate that in future post that you use my proper name instead of my user name thank you.CAROLE SPELMAN.RHEINMEISTER GSDS NOT ALSATIANS.

Ally, yours is an opinion I would, as a rule, agree with... but not this time, this is different and I don't see myself or the others who share my views, as being on the "outside", more as being on the right side.

The future of our GSD breed in Great Britain will be served by a mixture of Kennel Club licensed Shows and most definitely GSD Events based on WUSV Rules & Regulations.

I am sure the majority of genuine GSD supporters and exhibitors will support those that offer the best prospects for our GSD breeds future development here in Great Britain. I am equally sure some will continue to support KC Shows.

The FULL potential for GSD Events based on WUSV rules & regulations has not been fully appreciated as yet, however I am sure that as it unfolds, many GSD Breed Clubs will re-evaluate their Kennel Club "undertaking" and make adjustments as appropriate to their own Clubs future desires and requirements. Some are already doing just that, others want to be cautious and to wait and see what develops. We must not alienate any GSD breed Club just because they have signed the Kennel Club "undertaking", they may reconsider at some time .

The first GSD Regional Event, the very first of many, should attract every GSD enthusiast to enter and attend. The catalogue will most definitely become a document of huge significance in our GSD history in Great Britain. Everyone should enter ALL their eligible GSD, and reserve their catalogue's, and advertise in the catalogue. I am sure anyone that does not, will regret it.

Determination, patience, tolerence and unity are very important for our breeds future.

Missbeeb

I dont want to get into a slagging match as everyone is entitled to their opinion but unfortunately your "rightside" is on the "outside".You have said as much yourself . I agree with David. The best way forward is a mixture of Regional & KC events .I dont see breaking away from the KC as an option , its just NOT a viable alternative .The logistics alone are mind boggling .Take care.

Ally

I don't think anyone wants to alienate any Club, David.... I would / will do my utmost to try to persuade each and every one of them not to sign the KC's mandate, as I believe you have done, to a degree.

There is no doubt that the vast majority (myself included) would rather we were all united in our aims.

I implore everyone to consider the future development of our GSD breed here in Great Britain much more carefully.

We have a great opportunity now, helped, if that is the appropriate word, by the Kennel Club's intransigence, arrogance and spin. Also helped by others who have attempted to align themselves with the Kennel Club for their own personal promotion.

However there are many GSD Club committees who are genuinely finding it difficult, if not impossible, NOT to sign the Kennel Club's GSD "undertaking".

As the reality dawns on those committees, with the benefit of our GSD Regional Events actually taking place, and with the exciting developments unfolding for the future of GSD Regional Events, I feel sure GSD breed club committees will find it very attractive for their club to hold GSD Regional Events. They will then have to consider what they will need to do in order for their club to hold them.

Dynamics will dictate our progress, and we all need to influence them carefully and positively.

I feel sure more exciting information will be available shortly. Please support the GSD League and JOIN the GSD League, they can and will lead us to a wonderful future for our GSD, right here in Great Britain.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There are TEN classes out of TWELVE classes at the GSD League “Regional Event” which require NO training and obtaining of German SV qualifications.

It is also IMPORTANT to note, The Kennel Club cannot take ANY ACTION whatsoever against any GSD or owner for participating in these GSD Regional Events. As I have been stating - they are FULLY INCLUSIVE.
