My deepest condolences. I have been there, done that with the loss of a litter. It is heartbreaking. I am glad to hear that your female came through the surgery.

Sorry to hear the bad news.
This is why it's is so important to do progesterone testing.
When you know when the LH surge or Ovulation date you can plan your breeding around it.
This way you know the whelping date and you know if a dog goes pass her due date.
If she does you can go a for a c-section.

Yes, I am sorry as well, I was concerned as it sounded so much like my female. As a precaution I would definitely seek advice if nothing happens within 24 hours of a significant temperature drop - also that she was panting and with a hard abdomen was suspicious. I know its always difficult to know what to do at the time especially if the female does not seem in obvious distress. Very sorry and better luck next time.

dogs have an interesting way of hiding their 'problems'  i am not surprised that she did not 'act' stressed.

I'm glad she's doing well, so sorry about the loss of the pups.  How many pups were there?
