I haven't read what "J The Greek" said for a long time.  However, if I remember correctly, what he said should have been left unsaid -- however, it the same thing had been written in a History Book, it would mostly likely have been acceptable.

Ike you are correct! It is not an issue about race! it is trying to become that. Factoid is that pit bulls are predominantly owned by blacks in my community! Their skin color is irrelevant! People are trying to desensitize this issue by labeling it a black cultural experience!  dog fighting crosses all racial boundaries! However pit bull fighting is a favorite animal of African Americans and Hispanics in that event! I have experienced Pitt bulls approaching me and my dogs on many occasions and the owners or lack of one present were all black or Hispanic1 My tennants who live next door and whos 'gas is disconnected have left a english bull dog and pitt bull alone in the yard for several weeks ! They do come by once a day to provide water and food so I know what the I am talking about ! They are african american by the way! I know of no caucasuian people who own pitt bulls !

AsI said Raymond, I speak from experience. Where I'm from,  all is equal. Black, white, spanish, does'nt matter. Its about the money for them. I respect your view. The one or to cases you mention just is not overpowering enough over what I have seen and grew up around. Because government says it's wrong, does'nt mean there are none of them involved secretly. (For the money). The people you speak of should allow the animals to be placed where someone has gas yes? That deserve attention as well. I never said you did'nt know what you were talking about. I'm sure you do. But as I said, I know also. I respect it though.

Is bullfighting in Spain cultural, is it cruel?, do they torture the bulls ?  I think what Michael Vick dig is completely wrong.....but I always remember on the road to Damascas, that in the christian religion God took a man who had persecuted and Killed people and commisioned him to write 2/3 of the New Testament. If GOD can give a killer this type of Opportunity after killing and persecuting people, WHO of us is so sanctimonious to not afford this person an opportunity. This may make no sense to non christians, but Christians need to practice what they are Commanded to do, or they are no better than Vick!

One should be judged by how one treats the most vulnerable, whether human or animal.

Judron55, not to slam you or anything, but I know of quite a few "Caucasians" who own pitbulls. We even have had a breeder in class that shows his pits. We had another lady who had malinois but rescued a pitbull that she used for Schutzhund just to give the dog a challenge. This dog was great with obediance. agility, protection, retrieving, but tracking was a bit iffy (red nose pit, sidenote: does nose and mouth color have any bearing on scent discrimination???). We have even had a few from other cultures and races bring in their pitbulls for training. Pits are awesome dogs, so incredibly eager to please.

mindhunt...the reference to caucasions not owning pitbulls was from Raymond. I was just letting him know he is out of touch. I know people from all walks of life, all different nationalities that own pits. I have no problem with them and have done helper  work for a Sch3 pit numerous times.
