I had no pictures of Vijay handling at the Sieger Show... primarily 'cos I was too nervous to think of taking them. Finally someone by the name of Richard Norman generously contacted me with pics that he had taken... So here they are:
Many thanks to Richard Norman & Debbie Norman for their generosity and their skill in taking these beautiful pictures.
Friday Practice at 5 pm:

Saturday Performance Test 7:45 am:

PS: For those who might be wondering... Juneau was wearing a plain black plastic collar with no box during practise... (
to remind him of his duties
)
To my knowledge as far as Sieger shows go... I think this is the first time a Youth handler has done the performance test... though youth handlers have been active in other working events.

Ravi,
Those photos are terrific. I would love to have a couple of them to use in the magazine :) We'll likely only use one, but I like having something to choose from.
Congratulations to Vijay!

Kathy,
Richard Norman has very kindly promised to send a whole bunch on CD so you can have that to pick from as soon as I get it.
Thanks.

Vijay-Juneau:
I compiled all the pictures sent to me by Richard Norman into 2 slideshows rather than post 60+ individual pictures.... the quality is amazing and really captures the nuances of the stress and tension.... the stress is clearly apparent in the Saturday pictures as opposed to the Friday shots.... makes it all the more real.

Man!
That kid is awesome in the way he handled that dog..... really cool to see how the two related to each other and those aren't poor grips either!!
It's good to see that not all show-dogs are cut out of the same cloth.... maybe there is still some hope for working ability in showlines.... ultimately it will be young kids like this boy with good support and training that will be the future of the sport & the breed.
Good job kiddo--- hope to see much more of you
