KIM, a very tuthful correct in every way post, excellent. Your post should make no one mad, it should make everyone stop, think and have a long good look at themselves. I include myself in that!!. Missbeeb, think yourself lucky you missed the reason for Hodie and Sue leaving, it was unbelievable!!!! Liz.

That being said, they are two adults who know what is best for them. Taking a break from these forums (any forums that one regularly posts on) is something that can be beneficial to everyone.
Years and years ago, a moderator of a national political forum (and as you can imagine - politics = heated debate) explained the amplification of emotions by using this venue. Everything is magnified, every slight is amplified, insignificant sarcastic remarks turn into personal insults and it becomes a force all on it's own, generating anger, and overlapping into posters' real lives. That was in 1997 - and from what I've seen - he was bang on the money.
Taking a break can be healthy.
Perhaps Oli can make a thread that stays at the top of the list that is dedicated to nothing more than laughter and positive thoughts about dogs - just to keep us grounded. :)

does anyone know the e-mail addresses?
perhaps a representative can send a line or two telling of the changes oli has instituted and ask for reconsideration........

Exactly, Tina! I have been in communication with both, and so have others. They have been sent this thread, as well as the "Nwe function" and "I apologize" threads, so they are both well awarte of what has happened.
And, Tina is correct: their email addresses should NOT be posted here. The people they want to have the email addresses have them. Those that need to communicate with them and don't have the addresses can rely on others to forward posts, if appropriate.

I didn't suggest that anyone's e-mail be posted.......I suggested that "a representative" (someone who already knows their address) contact them and keep them abrest of the changes..........looks like this is already being done.
