I have been reading your comment and would just like to add my experiance day at Crufts,
I was watching the classes and noticed a young dog which is not my type but was well turned out and i could see the young owner had taken a lot of trouble with the dogs training and appearance,
I took the time to talk to the young lady and found it was her mother dog and she had been showing it for 5 years and this was the first time she had qualified and was very proud of her dog, I did not feel it was my place to make any nasty comments regarding the dog, But did express my opinion on how well she had groomed and how healthy the dog was.
Consider how she would have felt had she talked to some people who feel they should express their opinion without any thought to other peoples feeling.

Thats my opinion..... now for the opinion of. Geogehopwood
He thinks he was a disgrace
A disgrace is an animal that is not sound, in movement or mind. He is both.
A disgrace is a dog that doesnt conform to the correct WUSC standard - this dog does....
a disgrace is a dog that coulnt do a days work - this dog can.
- where did you find your bit of the dog that matches up to the word disgrace Georgie ??
The owners and breeders of this dog took him to Crufts - presented him under the judge on the day - and took their chance with lots of other high quality animals ..... what did you do with your day? Did you sit b ehind your pc and watch, were you there spectating - or did you have a dog worthy of being at this prestigious event, and not take him - or even - did you take he or she..... before you make off the cuff comments like those above, lets get to see who you are - forgetting dogs, lets have a bit of stand up and be counted..... put your name to your feelings. I could quite go with you posting
"!the dog was not the type that I admire! "
- that would be your opinion, but your rantings go further than that, and of course so can they, because you are hiding behind that screen.
Regarding the Group judging. Shirley stayed to watch the whole thing, and didnt feel that Lesko was dismissed, she just felt that Lesko did a fabulous Group presentation for us, and the judge just didnt choose him - fair and simple.
She also felt that the Pharao Hound was beyond belief and really took her eye, althogh we know nothing between us about that breed.
We didnt see anything of the apalling behaviour of one of the exhibitors/spectators towards Mrs Stanbra, but are very cross that it should have happened. As we didnt see it, but are told by very reliable sources of what hapened, I would suggest that this lady is exposed by name for the comments that she made, and should be made to apologise - she should also be told
"Come on - judge dismisses class, and you wish him a long and lowly death?" "Get agrip woman - this is only a dog show"
Regarding the dismissal of the class. If Tony Stanbra thought that his class was not worthy of a placement, then so be it - sad but ok - he`s the judge. Before anyone jumps about at that comment, there was a Mascani bitch in that class. She wasnt sold to show, she was sold as a companion and her owners felt she was worthy of showing, and to be honest she isnt a bad type of girl in my eyes, and of course the eyes of other judges that have given her award - but I`m not going to cry about it - or wish him death - I`m going to accept his decision, as did the owners of this girl.
I actually feel he did a super job. We won Special Yearling with Shirleys Mascani Giselle - and the other classes had super types up front, well done all.
At one of the later female classes Mr Stanbra was obviously upset that he had been told to rush on by the Chief Steward - and he apologised to exhibitors.
Well - I said in my breed notes of last weeks Our Dogs, that we all should support him, in wht was possibly going to be a difficult year at Crufts - I ddnt expect he was going to be wished dead, o

wished dead, or that he was going to be made uncomfortable by his own steward, and his wife upset just for being there to enjoy her day.
THAT IS WHAT IS A DISGRACE GEORGEHOPWOOD - NOT THE DOG THAT WON THE CLASS.
Mo - Mascani.

what a dreadful thing to say

I watched the Judging of males at Crufts but missed the bitches due to the fact that I was showing my Swedish Vallhund. In my opinion Mr Stanbra was fair, honest and judged to the breed standard. We showed a male in Limit dog who was not placed and yes we where a bit dissapionted but still felt that the judging was fair.
