People that can afford $65,000 for a dog and you call them a sucker? Sign me up to be a sucker then.

I'll still call them a sucker when that 65k dog fails them at what the dog was bought for. No training is worth 65k unless its to train the dog to s*** diamonds!

I must ask this question out of curiosity....How many of you would SELL your dog to someone willing to pay $65,000? How about $200,000???? Be honest now, could you part with your BEST dog for the right price?

How do you know that the $65,000 dog wont do what it is trained for? I don't think that its fair to libel someone who you have never met, don't know anything about, and whose only frame of info is having surfed their site for 5 minutes.

Hi Agar, I wouldn't sell either of my dogs for any amount, but many would. Everything is relative and every hobby has people paying big money for their hobby. I know of people that have spent that much and more on Japanese Koi, (a big goldfish basically). I have family members that have spent more on their German Warmblood horses for dressage. Spending that money to them is a good investment or worthwhile for their sport, hobby or peace of mind. It's their money who am I to judge.
Like I said the GSD I worked is a nice dog, to make a comparision; the owner spending 20k on the dog is probably comparable to an average person spending 2k, from a strictly economic point of view.

Jim- I'm glad someone feels the same way I do about their dogs. I too could not put a price tag on mine either. Although I think it's totally assinine to spend 65 grand on a dog regardless if you're filthy stinkin rich or not; who am I to knock someone from having the clientle willing and able to pay the price??? But on the other hand it comes down to economics as you pointed out....an NBA player, movie star or even a smaller version of Bill Gates spends 50 grand like I'd spend a couple thousand without blinking an eye or hurting his bank account. But even so, you can get a real nice dog and send it to a top trainer for custom training, all your bells and whistles and you're still no where near that amount of cash. The final product is still gonna be the same is what my point is so why not keep the extra 50 grand and go buy yourself a new sports car?? But to each their own I guess.

I'll take hidden sleeve bites all day for 65k.
