OGBS

Come on, that's a little lame to blame it on the administrator.
You're saying the administrator knows enough to know what "V" and "KKl1" are to put it on the web site on their own, but, not enough to find out if it is accurate?
What a coincidence that it is inaccurate on here also?
If you own the dog wouldn't you want it to be correct?
It's no big deal, but, fix it.

"Her sire, Reno Jipo Me, belongs to the former head of the Czechoslovakian Army's border patrol program (z Pohranicni straze)."

I am not sure who owns the web site. This is the info copied from it (in the females section "Jena" first dog). Reno has never been owned by any head of a border patrol program. The owner of this dog worked for him, but the dog was owned by a private party, he just was used as a stud there for a while. he never changed hands.
Maybe whoever wrote that wants to fix it. That is all...

good night

Jim
This dog is the WUSV 2010 Champion father of my Izzy, the track layers just walked over the course they did not scuff the ground at all but trod lightly, i could not see any foot marks at all which was right and left turns in no order seemed a tricky course for the dogs to follow.
the Ground was rock hard baked in the sun and a stiff breeze blowing this was in Seville Spain last year. over 20 dogs failed the Tracking, I have never seen so much open plateau before in my life right to the horizon all you could see was open terrain like the stuff the dogs were working on. They grew Sunflower on this ground it seemed, and the rabbit burrows looked like they were a yard apart from each other,

dogs in czech also  get KKL 1  or KKL2 ,  , i dont know about slovak , but I guess its just the same
on the pedigree its mentioned as  tr ,
for  example  xac zps  is kkl1  tom is kkl2 , so faro being a KKL1 is very good possible

While that is correct in many instances duke, the SV database does not indicate a kkl rating for Faro.  He is indicated as "V" under show results, probably a translation of Výstava "VD" , or very good.  But no trida rating (tr.) under the Czech or Slovak system is present, and no Kkl rating under the German record.  Whether he's "recommended for breeding" or not, he has made a significant impact in the Policia-Slovakia breeding program.

OGBS, I'll pass the word on for you.  Good grief.  That's it, I'm going to resume ignoring all irrelevant questions directed at me.

Daryl writes:  OGBS, Faro is not rated "Kkl1" or Kkl2. His breed survey is is an "ideal" 5JVQ5/55P under the Slovak (not Czech) system.

So, Daryl - your dog is not in fact rated KKl-1 by a Koermeister/conformation/breed survey judge of any kind - in fact he is NOT Kkl-1 - he was in fact NOT breed surveyed and judged by an SV Koermeister as "recommended for breeding" EARNING a KKl-1 rating - yet you advertise him as Kkl-1 on your website, on the PDB and whereever else you advertise/tout your dogs -  because he is, in your words "an ideal" rating under the slovak system - What about the V in front of his name - that would indicate he received an Excellent conformation rating - yet you admit it "probably" means "very good" which would be SG, or why don't you remove the V since apparently that is not correct either, and false advertising?

You are breeding a "herding female" - though the female in fact has no herding titles...... You talk about your dogs' work in SAR and Schutzhund, though your dogs have no SAR certs or Schh titles to speak of..... your **** advertising is really concerning.  (comment deleted by zmod)  Your dogs' extreme drives, as demonstrated by.......... your opinion again I guess, since he is not titled?

I sure hope anyone interested in your puppies/program will do some of their own research ie making sure your claims of hip ratings, temperament, drives, scores (or lack of) and bloodlines before assuming what you are saying is legit and not just a spin to sell puppies!

oh well.

Daryl claims:   Whether he's "recommended for breeding" or not, he has made a significant impact in the Policia-Slovakia breeding program.

Whether he's made a significant imprint in a breeding program or not, he has not earned a V (excellent) or KKl-1 except in your opinion and translation - so he should not be advertised as having earned them.

Okay folks, enough, please.  This thread is supposed to be about "workingline best new stud".

While it's natural and healthy for a thread to evolve and change somewhat,  this thread is in danger of devolving to the point where it will have to be closed.  Further negative comments regarding member's breeding programs, and comments regarding dogs not specifically mentioned as "workingline best new stud" will be deleted in their entirety, and continuing in this "tit for tat"  vein will lead to the closing of this thread.

thanks for your cooperation.

I'll add another one. SG-Brix v Eichenluft HGH,KKl-2. Brix is HGH titled, earning this title on 300 sheep and 94 points (V) and high in trial under the training and handling of Ulf Kintzel. Brix has high drives and excellent trainability - he adjusts well to every situation yet has some edge to him - typical of many DDR-line dogs. He is big, black and very handsome too :) Brix is a son of V-Eagle v Eichenluft Schh3,FH2,KKl-1. Eagle comes from Alk v Osterburg Quell (Lord son) and Xinerobella v Tiekerhook (Fero daughter, Harro granddaughter). Brix's dam is Cora v Granit Rose Schh1. Cora is a full sister to V-Ahron v Granit Rose, who is the sire of V-Falk vd Wolfen. Cora is a very serious female, aggressive but with balanced drives and excellent nerve. She is still alive and healthy/active at 13 years old. Brix has only been bred twice and one of those is "in the oven" - so obviously he would not qualify for "best", still for consideration here he is. And videos if anyone is interested - some people say that the HGH title is more "real" than anything available out there for testing our dogs for breedworthiness. Judge for yourself - Brix's HGH video #1 - the start, bringing the sheep to the pen before the start of the test, the start of the test, and bringing the sheep out of the pen to the wide graze - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ifJDNFLklo HGH video #2 - the wide graze, moving the sheep to the narrow graze, traffic test, narrow graze - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b45WYL_2Xb8&feature=related Brix HGH video #3 - the narrow graze, moving sheep back to the pen including showing a grip, penning, the protection test, the critique http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCZzi9wwFRU And a short fun video of some schutzhund protection training. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8uoV9o2gw0

Newguy:

What it comes down to is there is no "best stud" each breeding has to be qualified by the match of the pair. You will look for a male that brings the qualities that match your female or will carry the improvements that you hope to make in the breeding.

From the "BigTime" puppy producers to "Big Self Promoters" on this post to the arm chair quarterbacks they all have there opinions on what makes a "stud"  I guess the important thing is to remember when it comes to a breeding male is what do you want in a male and then find him.

Just remember "show me the dog and I,ll read about him latter" that normallly covers it.
